I recently obtain a VWXYZ from a sneak preview on the EEN and I am trying to find a way to summon him. I am checking whether a good deck can be created to bring hime in the field , and also alternative ways of summoning him , e.g. can I use Cyber Stein ?

Please help.

You cannot use Cyber-Stein for it. You have to remove the monsters from play on your side of the field listed on it. Although the plus side is you can then be able to recursion the card easily, with Premature Burial, Re-Fusion, Call of the Haunted, etc. The only way to do it in the TCG at the moment is go about using the Union method. You can use the support cards for Unions, like the one trap card from EEN I think called Roll Out or Frontline Base from an earlier set. If we had the other Ojama support cards you would be able to combine a Ojama Deck and VtoZ deck in order to Special Summon them much easier. Believe it or not, Ojamas make it easier whenever those support cards get made.

Since its text contains "This card can only be Special Summoned...by", it follows the standard summoning rule as other Special Summon-only monsters; it first has to be summoned using the method printed on the card. So cards like Cyber-Stein or Metamorphosis won't work.

I belive he is playable. I have been using the XYZ pieces against my mates for 2 months and been undefeated I hope the VW bits will give me even more of fusions to play. Just look at my sig my deck is there.

How difficult is this? Play Frontline Base and summon Z. Set shinging angel. Opponent busts out Enraged Battle Ox and atttack Angel, field Y. Next turn, summon X and frontline W. Remove to summon XYZ, and next turn summon V and remove. I'll answer that: VERY difficult. But not impossible. If you were to try and make a VWXYZ deck, I recommend really just splashing in the V and W. You know, make it a regular XYZ with one V and one W thrown in for giggles...

I'm afraid not. Because the VWXYZ fusions do not use Polymerization, it is impossible to special summon them other than their own effects.
From the UDE FAQ for VWXYZ:
Once properly Summoned by the method written in the text this card can be Special Summoned from the Graveyard with effects like "Call of the Haunted" or "Re-Fusion".
I'll also post part of the text from VWXYZ:
This card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by removing from play the above cards on your side of the field. (You do not use "Polymerization").
The ONLY restriction placed on this card is how you get it out of the Fusion Deck. Any other way of Special Summoning it back to the field is pretty much fair game.

Whoops! My apologies. Just looked it up in Ronin. I must have been thinking of something else. *cowers in shame*:eek:rcstupid

Wasn't it XYZ-Dragon Cannon that couldn't brought back? *is having severe mental lapses as of late*

The only exceptions of monsters that cannot be brought back, are cards like Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8, Silent Magician LV8 etc. Monsters with the text: 'This card cannot be Special Summoned except by..."
And of course cards who say: 'This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard' (Dark Ruler Ha Des, Helpoemer)
Even Horus LV8 and all the rest of the Nomi's can be reborn now if the were summoned correctly before going to the Graveyard.

Level Modulation
Card Text
Your opponent draws 2 cards. Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard that includes "LV" in its card name, ignoring the Summoning conditions. The monster that was Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack, nor activate or apply its effect this turn.

Rulings
An "LV" monster that normally cannot be Special Summoned except by the method in its text CANNOT be Special Summoned from the Graveyard with "Level Modulation" unless it has been previously Special Summoned by the correct procedure. The "ignore the Summoning conditions" text allows for these monsters to be Special Summoned only after they have been properly Summoned by their own effect. This applies to "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8", "Armed Dragon LV7", "Silent Swordsman LV7", "Silent Magician LV8", and "Winged Kuriboh LV10".

Ah ha! So what happens when "Dark Ruler Ha Des" is removed from play? Can he be brought back?

This is the most interesting part. Because Dark Ruler/Helpoemer only state about the GRAVEYARD, they should be able to brought back from the Removed from Game-zone with cards like Return from the Different Dimension, etc.
