I'm Italian boy,and not understand if this card can inflict 8000 life point direct,when i wait 8 Standby Phases.

No one wants to lose by Wave-Motion, thats why everyone ask if it can be reflected back with Barrel or Trap of Board Eraser. Your only choices are to destroy it before its sent to the Graveyard; use Fiber Jar and return all cards back to the deck; Chaos Emperor Dragon it; or use Hallowed Life Barrier to protect you.

There may be more, but not many more ways to stop it.
 
in my honest opinion mwc should atleast be restricted to 1
and heres y one person set three of these things down win the dule in 3 turns
then the looser is like ok i need three 
and on and on

and soon everyone will have it

i do give props to who ever started this mess  :?

and to who ever used it before the ban list
 
Wave Motion is a damage only card that takes multiple rounds to inflict damage. I really can't believe anyone finds it that broken. Dust Tornado, Heavy Storm, MST, Breaker, Giant Trunade, Mobius, Swarm of Locusts, Byser Shocker, Lady Ninja Yae, Levia Dragon, Raigeki Break, XYZ, Magic Drain, Spell Jammer, Spell Shield Type-8, Horus LV8, Hallowed Life Barrier and I'm sure I missed a few. It doesn't stop you from attacking, it doesn't prevent anything at all from being done by the opponent. It isn't even easy to protect the cards from destruction since Curse of Royal doesn't stop the Monster Effect destuction and Fake Trap wouldn't save them. If you keep losing due to Wave Motion you need to hit harder and faster or destroy it before it pops. Even given the example of 3 dropped in round 1 you have 3 rounds where you can deal with them before they would end the game. Compare that with the OTK decks that can finish the game 1st round before you've got a chance to put a card on the field or Last Turn decks that you only have 3 or 4 cards that can save you, or Chaos-Yata lock and suddenly 3 rounds ain't so bad, it isn't even a pressure cooker it is just something to deal with.
 
Well, with the advanced/ban-list format and MST being restricted to 1, it is a bit more difficult to deal with Wave Motion Cannon. Dust Tornado is a good replacement, but most of the other cards you mentioned have very specific uses and most certainly do not belong in every deck. Not to mention that most (decent) Wave Motion Cannon decks do have means to protect them. While I do agree that it shouldn't be restricted, I do think semi-restricted (to 2) wouldn't be out of the question given the advanced format.
 
Speaking on the various cards that can interfere with WMC, could I..let's say..just activate de-spell since it's slow and destroy WMC without them chaining it and activating it's effect, I believe WMC's effect is still spell speed 1 right?

Yes, it's Speed 1.
Wave-Motion Cannon also has specific requirements when to send it to the Graveyard.
Your opponent couldn't do anything if you were De-Spell-ing it.
