What I hope becomes a tourney competitive Toon Deck

Where are the rest of the Toon cards like Toon Defense for example? My Body as a Shield probably should not be used since Dark Hole will most likely be banned, but there is the chance we would get Mirror Force back. Just does not seem practical against say Smashing Ground or the rarely seen Lightning Vortex.

Well, Toon Defense is highly outclassed by Astral Barrier. And it's a trap, which would clash with my Royal Decrees.

And since I do not have traps for protection, I run the Bodys. If I could find a better card for the job, it would be in.

And I'm not planning for the next ban list until it gets announced. The Amercian version, anyway.

I do admit the ratio is off. But what to put in and what to take out? That is the question.

The problem is that Toon decks use and relie upon a variety of spells.

Toon Decks have a problem with what they want to do with it. If you want the simple answer, focus on just Toon World itself and unlock its power, as in make sure it stays on your field like Magical Reflector for instance. What are you more afraid of when it comes to this Deck? You would not lose your monsters if you had enough protection (Toon Defense + Spirit Barrier). Getting rid of Spell and Trap Cards your opponent has would not be a problem with Dust Tornado, Mystical Space Typhoon, Heavy Storm, Giant Trunade (although not recommended). Mobius the Frost Monarch (as much as I hate to have people splash in their Decks) can solve your Spell and Trap problems from your opponent. Then there is Smashing Ground which does serve its purpose in monster destruction. Magic Jammer or even Spell Shield-Type 8 comes to mind.

hmmm....Here'a an idea.

What If I dropped the Decree setup and the high level toons and focused on using the Level 4 and Lower Toons with Toon Defense, some various M/T and Monster Destruction, and a few tricks?

It is up to you. I mean what are you going to need those high Tribute Toons for when they really accomplish nothing, except Toon Summoned Skull. At least he is playable. I say focus on all the LV4 and lower Toons with Toon Defense and use Smashing Grounds and Dust Tornados as well as Magical Reflector. Even Giant Trunade is going to do wonders if you had a swarm of LV4 or lower Toons on your field thanks to Ultimate Offering and they waited a turn to be able to direct attack. What is paying another 1000 Life Points right?
