What makes a Winning Deck

I have been playing Yugioh for quite some time.

I have build many fun decks. but my Judge jsut told me my Yugioh Ranking in Louisiana and it has set a fire under me to want to become better.

I want to step up my game to the next level. So I ask What make a winning deck.
 
well, a winning deck needs a good theme, speed, a skilled player, luck, and maybe other things I don´t remember
 
Most important thing in Yu-gi-oh! is to have fun (says Jaden) :D

More seriously, I think your aim shouldn't be to get a good ranking, 'cause this will just make you angry at every loss. Play a lot, and you will know other ways to build decks. Continue to play and you will get more and more skilled. Play till the very end and you will be able to defeat God.

I think you understood what I mean, playing is the clue of improving. Just don't put too much pressure on your shoulders; you don't need it.
 
Well, I wanted to post a few days ago. But after awhile I found a way to condense my advice into a few sentences.

Play outside of yourself as well as playing within. When you build a deck do not just try to brute force your way to victory.

While I was playing against someone this morning I put down wave motion cannon and my opponent said i won on account of it. He went on about how he could not beat wave motion, because his deck was designed to fight only beat downs.

Basically what I am saying is to throw some variety in there and play with your opponent and not just against them.
