What yugioh is better GX or normal version

gx is cool in its own way because it shows you how to play the game and it explains rules and all. unlike the old yugioh it was cool but i mean yugi use to summon lv 5 monsters without tributes and alot of diff. things.
 
Yu Gi Oh Duel Monsters had a number of rulings changes throughout its duration. In the beginning, LP were set at 2000 and no one could attack directly. There was no tribute ruling so those with rare cards like Blue Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician reigned supreme.

Then, in Battle City, LP were changed to 4000, direct attacks could be made and tributes were required for the bigger monsters. Those with Blue Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician still reigned supreme, because they could still get them out.

As far as the storylines go, I liked Duel Monsters much more than the current GX. Saving the world over and over is much better than horrible 2 part duels all the time. Hopefully the 3rd GX season will offer better developments.
 
Duel Monsters is infinitely superior to GX in everything because it had a plot. It wasn't just about the card game, it was trying to find out who Atem truly was and stuff. Plus the other characters got great development as well, and not all were plain evil.

GX has been nothing but card playing with no character development (Manjyoume is the only one who got some development, but that ended right after he became Manjyome Thunder), and they have some of the most rediculous and outrageous plots. Seriously, do you really think someone would truly use a deck of sports related cards? Or how about the guy using the Water deck that has to play in his submarine? It has some cool moments, but that is nothing without a plot. We know next to nothing about Judai, and Ryou seems to have just disappeared into thin air.

you all have to watch the abrigdged series on youtube, its one of the funniest thing ive ever seen, but watch out for imposters, the real ones are hosted by little kuriboh;)
 
To be brutally honest.
Yugioh > Yugioh GX

Yugioh had a really decent storyline. It had great characters & it provided us with many great cards.
Yugioh GX is nothing more than a 20 odd minute "commercial" to try & sell the latest janky sets, to little kids who don't know any better.
Ryou seems to have just disappeared into thin air.

Well, the only thing I like about GX is that there's more dueling, and faster pace. The original series had all these "pointless" stuff and the duels were dragged out way to long by stupid flashbacks and storytelling/talking. For people who watch YGO for the duel matches, GX is good.

I don't know if I'm allowed to directly post things that might have inapproprate language. (There's no nudity, adult theme, etc. Just alot of bad language, racism, and some sexual jokes) I mean, this forum is "Rated G" for kids ya know. Just search it on Youtube. And watch the vids that have HIGH RATING AND ALOT OF VIEW/REVIEW. Anything that says Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series but have little view counts and small comments are FAKES.

I enjoy Yugioh G/X more; first of all it has a better theme song; second, more dueling and third, at least Jaden isn't always dueling for a lost relative, a blind girl or to save the world or someone's life. Too much time in the original was devoted to the plot which in the earlier episodes wasn't that good but got better before it ended. There were always too many funky rulings and Yami's deck must have held 150 cards, but he did find a way to make every card a duel breaker. In Yugioh G/X the characters seem to have a little more depth to them instead of them all being archetypes/stereotypes (I mean Bandit Keith is the prime bad American with his cross denoting Christianity, his doo rag and his attitude, I found it offensive but I think most glossed over it). In G/X sadly, only Jaden is underdeveloped, but he is the star. I would have liked to see Yami lose at least a few more times just make it sporting and keep you guessing. G/X needs to make use of all of the sets and feature one or so every few episodes.

After this little diatribe I hope you can "get your game on"

G/X is free of these either including speicial summoning monsters which can't be speicial summoned from the graveyard with monster reborn
 
they both have thier plus points
yugioh origanal: a decent storyline but inacurate gameplay
yugioh gx: no plot at all but reasonably accurate gameplay
you should all check out yugioh the abriged series on youtube, however watch out for imposters. all the real episodes are posted by little kuriboh. enjoy them there the funniest thing on the plannet
 
Good Lord, I just checked out a few of the Abridged Episodes on Youtube and they are brilliantly funny, I'm still laughing about them. I did see a few imposters but all good stuff.


My vote is still for G/X as I am a Jaden fan.
 
OMG, DM does not play like the game. WTF? It is a freaking TV show. When I want to watch the game played, I'll watch people play it or play it myself. If you were watching Yu-Gi-Oh! to learn how to play the game, then you need help. Who cares if the show didn't follow teh rules, there were no rules when the cards were first introduced in the series as there was NO card game.

The Advocate, I disagree. GX is nothing but a card commercial. Oh my lord, how dare they ever develop a character. The creators realized the error of their ways by developing Manjyome, so they decided to add like 200 new characters into 1 season just so they had too many characters to have dueling instead of actually developing the characters they had. Ryou and Daichi just disappeared into thin air, Sho becomes Ra Yellow out of no where, and Grandpa was thrown into the series for no reason.
