Who would win between Jaden and Yugi?

A match between Jaden and Yugi? Hmm...I think it's anybody's game. As far as Card Advantage goes, Jaden has a lot more support than Yugi. Dark Magician has no more support anymore. Jaden's Elemental Heroes have been getting support in every set since The Lost Millenium. In fact, Cyberdark Impact is the first set released since The Lost Millenium to not have E-Hero support.

Of course, Yugi just has dumb luck. But then again so does Jaden, but Yugi's is on a MUCH higher scale.

Honestly, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Jaden ever actually faces Yugi in the actual show (although it's extremely unlikely). But here's a thought: Why just stop with Jaden facing Yugi? Which duelist in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX could beat Yugi? Zane? Bastion? Alexis? Chazz? Sartorious?

Think about that...

put it this way..what do you think would win more games..a dark magician deck or an ehero deck?

I do not plan on having the match between Yugi and Jaden end in a draw; because Bastian's success is limited in the show I may not choose him as one of the 8 duelists chosen from the G/X show, after all he lost repeatedly to Tania (dark rider); the mystery duelist from the end of season 1 seems like a good choice and I remained intrigued by the Sartorius character.

Although the author will utimately decide who wins any of the duels in this fan fiction if the duels don't make sense or follow the characters no one will want to read it and it will be a waste of time. I want to stay as true as possible but still have Jaden win if possible. I don't want to be like an author writing a Batman v. Superman and having Batman win with some lame device or plot that is unexplainable just to have Batman win. Jaden and Yugi are the only 2 duelists in the story that have proven they can beat anyone. The handicaps I'm pinning on Yugi are no God cards, no updates beyond the final episodes and use of the banned list (although I may have to make it traditional for it to be a fair duel). Some of the earlier duels in the tournament may be just as controversial (Zane v. Yugi; Kaiba v. Kagemaru; Anubis v. Aster, Jaden v. Pegasus).

I will be able to post the first chapter this weekend (provided the wife allows) and if feedback is bad it will end that quickly with a celestial dark hole played; if feedback is good I'll try to continue it. Maybe solicit votes on who advances...

I could stay as true as possible and come away with Yugi winning. And again, which Yugi are you talking about? Grown Yugi or the Pharaoh? Both their decks are in fact different and both have been shown to "upgrade" their decks as the show went along. And further, Pot of Greed seems to show up in every episode (along with the long explanation on what it does in case we all forgot), not to mention that the rules of the cards are different (*cough* Bubbleman anyone *cough*)

It is a little more complicated if you are trying to be true to things, even with all the liberties the show takes. Plus personally, I'd find it hard to see Jaden beating either Yugi when he got trounced by Kaiba(man). But that's just my opinion.

Monster Reborn, anyone? Jaden's trump card, certainly (and to a lesser extent Yugi's, although in his final Duel of the series we remember him purposely not using it).

Understandable that Jaden is not the best duelist in both series; technically he is outplayed by Seto Kaiba and Zane; ah but of course he is the star of the second series and the chosen one. The Yugi I am referring to is Yami Yugi. And yes Monster Reborn, strange Card of Sanctity. I will have to lay out some basic ground rules for the match ups (like I can't have all Original Series characters defeating all G/X Characters regardless of decks because it would become disinteresting fast). This may be a mission impossible but if you're a person who always wondered who would win between Ultra Man (the original) and Godzilla, then this is for you. Or else I might as well be writing Snakes on a Plane 2.

After much thought and some randomness thrown in, I have decided to write chapter 1 with the intro and the following 16 chosen from their timestreams:

Yami Yugi; Anubis; Raphael; Dartz; Kaiba; Pegasus; Marik; Bakura;
Jaden; Zane; Aster; Kagemaru; Sartorius; Amnael; Alexis and Mai (the nod to the original series with an exta duelist and to ensure there was more than one female) and the random match ups (with Yugi and Jaden on opposite sides) are:

Yugi v. Alexis; Anubis v. Aster; Raphael v. Mai; Dartz v. Zane; Kaiba v. Sartorius; Pegasus v. Jaden; Marik v. Kagemaru; and Bakura v. Amnael. Still much work to do; thoughts anyone -

How on Earth could you bump off Pegasus at the very start? Pegasus has a very good Deck, and he is a very skilled Duelist, and would certainly be more than a match for Jaden. Just don't forget his "Toon Mask" to give him an "Elemental Hero Flame Toonman".

Anubis? Why? For 1 feature in the movie? That's hardly worth it. The only part of "his" deck that you saw were the Sphinxes. *Yawn*

And where is Joey?!? He was the character that helped make everyone else look good to show that it could be a real threat.

And frankly, the GX "main villains" are more laughable than laudable. They never were to be taken that seriously as well.
