Woodland Sprite

It stays in the Graveyard. It went to the Graveyard as a Equip Card, not a monster. The Ruling is similar to when Dark Necrofear is returned to the field as an Equip Card and later destroyed.

Neither cards return if destroyed while equipped to a monster.

Ah yes, but you implied here that the reason that Gilfer doesn't come back is because it was sent to the grave as an equip card, Which I was clarifying.

Archfiend of Gilfer is returned, even if it was an Equip Spell at the time. the key term is, "this card"

So if Player1 activated Mystical Space Typhoon, targets and destroyed Archfiend of Gilfer, it's effect would activate.

This is similar to Guardian Tryce, and ruling verifies this too:

This card can only be Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned when there is a "Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce" on your side of the field. When "this card" is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon to your side of the field the monster in the Graveyard that was used for the Tribute Summon of this card.

Ruling:
If "Guardian Tryce" is an Equip Spell Card equipped to "Relinquished" or "Sword Hunter", and "Guardian Tryce" is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, his effect activates.

At the time, we are only referring to "Woodland Sprite" and Archfiend Gilfer.

I said it was "similar" to Dark Necrofear's ruling, but not the same as the ruling. You know, the part about "timing" rather than it being a monster vs equip card.

When I said "a monster" I went more general than I should have.

My apoligies, masterwoo0, I just seem to be in habit of doing this.

There I go again, answering a question no one ever asked... -.-. LoL

It's okay Strike. It just means I have to stop thinking that I have covered the bases when I post. I understand what I mean, but that doesnt always meant that I explain it "well".
