Wow, a post!

*Giggles* I don't know, but I really think this is my first post, most likly not though. Anyway, I'm thinking of making a warrior deck, but I don't know what I need to make one! So I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for cards in one?

Right now I have:

Mataza
Cammand Knight
Maurading Captian
The A Forces (i'm not looking at my cards right now so i don't know if thats what its called)
Elemental Hero Sparkman and all the others
Skyscraper
Banner of Courage

and a few other cards that I can't remember right now. My mom took them away because I havn't been doing my share of the work around our house. But, yeah, so if anyone knbows of any other cards, I would love them forever! *giggles* yeah well, that's it, um, yeah bye! *giggles*

lightning blade is a good one if you like equip cards but other then that Blade knight is useful if you normally end up top decking alot!!!

Seeing as Warriors are one of the highest supported monster types in the game, its difficult to give you advice on just one type. You have so many ways you could take it.

However, since it wasn't mentioned yet, you could easily include the most basic warrior cards available:\

Warrior Returning Alive
Reinforcements of the Army

Give us a clue as to some more of the Warriors you have available and it might be easier to pick out a theme.

btw: not your first post :p You started threads

Like squid said, there are many types of warrior decks you can make-- Do you want a swarm deck(Marauding Captains etc), a prenegation deck(Don Zaloog etc), an all-round deck(toolbox), theme deck(Scorpions, knights etc), beat-down(goblins, blades etc) or a D.D. deck(DDW, DDWL, DDA, Strike)???

wow, um, *giggles nervously* how'd you do that..???

anyway, I don't really like swarming decks, I really actually hate them (my brother uses one) but I'm really into things like... raw power maybe *giggles madly* Yeah...

lol, click the cursor over someone's name and you will see a list of options. Go to View Public Profile and you can find all the posts someone made and all the threads they started. Im not really tracking you ;)

Raw power, huh?

ok thats not hard.
Zombrya
Goblin Attack Force
Dark Blade

I always throw out mention of Dark Blade because I love making the Fusion summon of Dark Blade the Dragon Knight.

If you can, add DD Assailant. 1700 is a decent ATK and its effect is sublime for clearing the way for your other attackers.

Again, Reinforcements and Warrior Returning Alive would be very helpful.

Command Knight helps to ensure that you get some additional beef on your monsters and then you can toss in 1-2 ATK boosters for additional flare.

Since the base ATK of GAF and Zombrya are pretty good on their own, you could easily support something like Skill Drain to punish your opponent's weak ATK but powerful effect monsters.

I have to stop there. Neither beatdown, nor Warriors, are a specialty of mine. I prefer different things. :) Hopefully this can give you a start though.

I swear..she is gonna take over......

CROWD: OMG ITS SSM, HE POSTED SOMETHING...*GASP**Awkward Silence**Crickets**Crowd throws pies*

Wait but I brought and our kids . ^_^

*dead silence*

USE SSM, he is sexy.....o,o and MSM...

Just saying hi..not back yet..use SSM.....

Hey! It's you! You still scare me... What's SSM and MSM? You act like I should know what that is. *giggles* You're weird! Thanks for the advice, Squid, I'll look and see if I can get those cards.

mystical swordsman. Level 2 is the only one that sees a lot of play, but the entire Level series for Mystic Swordsman (2, 4, and 6) are one of the most powerful sets made, imo. Only the individual power of Horus L.8 trumps it.

I like Armed Dragon Lv 3! All you do is summon it, then on your next turn, it dies and you get Lv 5! then if you kill a monster, it turns into Lv 7 at your end phase, then, idk how Lv 10 works cause i don't have it...

Ok, first, lets look at the Level sets available:
Armed Dragon LV3
Armed Dragon LV5
Armed Dragon LV7
Armed Dragon LV10

Dark Mimic LV1
Dark Mimic LV3

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4
Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6
Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8

Mystic Swordsman LV2
Mystic Swordsman LV4
Mystic Swordsman LV6

Silent Magician LV4
Silent Magician LV8

Silent Swordsman LV3
Silent Swordsman LV5
Silent Swordsman LV7

Ultimate Insect LV1
Ultimate Insect LV3
Ultimate Insect LV5
Ultimate Insect LV7

Winged Kuriboh LV10

(god, I love Ronin):)

Each one has a specific effect requirement. Starting from the lowest, you either survive till your next standby phase or you destroy a monster. Then you can choose, if you want, to summon the next level up from your deck, gaining in power each time you do it.

These were one of the best ideas that Konami had when they switched down to 60 card sets in SOD. Really a fun concept to play. As to which ones, it just depends on the player.

Armed Dragons are the easiest to get, thanks to DP2.
Horus is quite a fun concept, but also kind of hard to get.
Dark Mimic can be good tech.
Mystic Swordsman, never actually tried that.
Never even thought about Silent Magician nor Silent Swordsman.
Never tried Ultimate Insect either.
Winged Kuriboh and WKLV10 is fun.

I used to use Armed Dragon and it is really easy to get out. But you tend to use them for plain beatstick power, over their actual effects.

Horus, its only hard to find LV6, since LV8 is now a SE promo and half of the Horus users don't really use LV4

Because the Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman series were spread out and put in videogame promos and such, I never even bothered trying to acquire those. I do know that Silent Swordsman has a pretty devoted following. Their negation effects are pretty nasty to face, when you think about what the regular Spells are that people deck. the Magician series never sees play, which is kind of understandable. Its difficult to summon LV8, even for a dedicated Spell counter Spellcaster deck.

Winged Kuriboh set stinks for LV purposes. You cannot use Level Up! on it, because 1-Winged Kuriboh is not a LV monster, 2- it doesn't have Winged Kuriboh LV10 written in its text. Sad, really.

And the Silent Insects....well, I havent found the LV5 or 7, so I have no clue on them.

But, seeing as this was a thread about using Warriors, the Mystic Swordsman set is a real beauty. With Maurauding Captain allowing all kinds of Special Summons for LV4, and LV6 having a really really cool control effect, there are good opportunities for fun. Unfortunately, I traded my only LV6 back when I first pulled it. Now Im wishing I still had it.

Ultimate insects are great, but soooo different. While their attack, in and of itself is not so great LV5 = 2300, LV7 = 2600) their effect more than makes up for it. Decrease the ATK (and DEF-LV7 only) of your opponent's monsters by 300 (LV3), 500 (LV5) or 700 (LV7).

Add Final Attack Orders or (with LV7) use piercing/trample/spear ala Fairy Meteor Crush or Big Bang Shot, and you have a nasty beat down that will make minced meat, even out of a Blue-Eyes (LV5, special summoned by LV3's effect goes toe-to-toe).

Downside? If you use any of the Level-ups or Modulations, you don't get their decrease effect. Upside: First, the requirement for leveling up are easy, it just has to be on your side of the field during your standby phase (no Monsters to destroy, or Direct Attacks, or spell counters). You can do that with Call of the Haunted (at the end of your opponent's turn) or Dimensionhole, or let your Howling Insect take a hit during your opponent's turn. Not too bad. And, since no tribute is required (as with most LVs) Mask of Restrict is a great helper card.

I use the LVs to assist my deck destruction deck (or change it to Beat Down in case I run into a Dark World Deck).
