I'm looking at this card and I'm thinking this is impossible. Did anyone ever try to make a deck with this card or any good ideas for a funky deck using this card?

I haven't seen one localy. But I don't think it's outside the realms of possibility. It's one of those cards where you really need to invest a lot of time dilligence to figuring out how to make it work. Once you do, no one will be expecting it.

I was thinking tring an x static/men hybrid, maybe with all the bouncing back of characters and stall it might actually work.

i havent tried it, i decided to make a loner deck with nothing but x-static and 1 xavior 8 drop to steal away some 8 drops from my opponent.

i use alot of the good cards for it too. :)

but havent tried out the dream yet.

I tried the x-static loner deck and it kicked ass agaist curve decks like common enemy. Problem was with the weenie rush like sindicate and Brotherhood, they were way too fast for me to slow down.

but its fun isnt it? with 4 spin doctoring and using orphan on turn 3 as the loner so you have a 3 drop 6/6 and then to make matter worse you keep bringing it up to keep beating up on the other teams characters.

or using vivisector late in the game to burn your opponent. man i love x-static.

A friend of mine actually made a pretty good Xavier's Dream deck recently. In fact... I was shocked last Saturday when at my local VS tournament I judge he was able to beat me with it (and I was running the deck I plan on running this weekend, =/). Only problem is, it might have done well against my deck, but it most definitely wouldn't do well against other decks. Overall he ended up stalling to turn 8 and getting rid of cards with Avalon Space Station (it was like a mini X-Stall deck somewhat) and then on 8 he dropped Jean Grey, Pheonix Force, used her (returning like 6 characters to my hand), oh I forgot, he had 7-drop spidey out as well (with Clone Saga, had teamed everything up that way) and was discarding cards to exhaust my characters, including my Mark II so I couldn't negate Jean Grey, then he used Jean Grey, returned everything. Next turn he used Avalon to bring back Jean Grey and used her again. Then on turn 10 he brought back a Dark Pheonix that was in his KO'd pile and dropped her, lol. Ended up beating me that way, but normally what he would aim to do is instead of beating me down with the Dark Pheonix like he did, he would keep bring back the Jean Grey he dropped and would keep returning everything with Xavier's Dream on the board. Then of course it would only take him 3 turns to win. It's pretty good actually.

I was thinking of something using Boris (pull Xavier's Dream), Doomstadt, Latveria, and Beast to get Xavier's Dream out by turn 3.

That could work, but back to the deck that I was mentioning, just do a standard X-Stall deck build, on turn 8 you'll drop 8-drop Jean Grey, pop her off with her effect returning everything, and then flip up Xavier's Dream (or you could have it up already, whatever you want to do). Then on the next turn, just Avalon Space Station Jean Grey back to your hand and drop her again, return everything, you gain another counter, and just keep doing that every turn until you got your counters on Xavier's Dream.

The deck has promise, I'll be honest, and I'm very impressed that Tee J (pretty much a VS pupil of mine) could come up with such an innovative deck.

Hey, my X-Semi-Stall (I don't have access to all cards needed :() runs the Dream, 2 Phoenix Forces, and Avalons

if I could get some help with X-Stall mods for Xavier's Dream, I'll build it. Granted, I have to actually get the cards first. XD

Well another intersting thing I might note is that Tee J was also pulling off a combo with Madame Web and Longshot. Using Madame Web to look at the top 2 cards, then Longshotting those 2 to his hand (and after teaming up with Clone Saga, he'd gain 4 endurance for doing it due to Madame's effect).

So yeah, he's doing a lot of a different stuff with it that's interesting, the next time I see him (will be in a couple of weeks since I won't be there this weekend obviously) I'll see if I get the deck copied down and look over it for him and give insight to whatever things I think might work as well. But the build he's got is very annoying and looks to be sort of promising, lol.

The madam web & longshot combo you just mentioned sounds good! I'm going to try it in my spider friends deck, maybe that's what it needs to become more consistant...

Don't know if this was posted yet, but did anyone here that [vcard=mor-037]Xavier's Dream[/vcard] won the last PCQ? I don't really follow the tournement scene for Vs., but I understand that it ran [vcard=dor-014]GCPD Officcers[/vcard], [vcard=mor-003]Beast[/vcard] and [vcard=dor-163]Total Anarchy[/vcard]. I'l insert the vcard so you can see where he went with this. It turns out that this deck was ridiculously effective.

I know, right. I'm starting to see the potential for so much more originality in this game then I saw before. With the realease of Green Lantern Corp. who knows what else people will try. I'm never, ever going to dismiss a card effect again. :D

As this card is written. It's just a dream.
Luffy, it might be worth mentioning that recently just within the past week an Xavier's Dream deck made top 8 at PCNY, it's not exactly a dream and is viable.

But I find that certain decks such as that are only effective the first time around, as soon as people know they're out there, they'll soon be teched against and they obviously won't have that much success again.

The deck of the hour right now is the new Dr. Light deck that is making sweeps at 10K Philly this weekend.

Yeh, I lost to one at philly 2nd match of the day. I was hopeing not to see it since I was running big brotherhood, I had no answer for it. I also went against one of the Doctor Light Decks, but I had Scarlet witch out and he would have ended up taking 5 for every activate, it was easy for me to beat.

I ended up going 6-4, 2 games were really bad draws and the other 2 I was simply overpowered by Bastion. Highlight of one of my matches was when my opp went for genosha 3 times and I negatated it all 3 times with global domination....lol

Other than Spider Evasion, what could you possibly tech to withstand Xavier's Dream that wouldn't just end up being a dead draw against everything else?

Flame Trap? :p
