So I heard that best buy has a shipment that just arrived an their holding all XBOX 360s for tomorrow.. for a big Dec. 18th sale!!! (my bday)

so i went to best buy to try and validate this information and i saw 32 people standing outside waiting for one...

let me clarify.....
at 3:00pm on sat. people got in line so they could be early for the 8:00am opening on sun., o wait dont best buys open at 10 on sun.??? o well, anyway this is like the second big shipment.... its rediculous....
who waites for 17 hours for this....

the funny thing is that i went to circuit city across the street and they had some available for buying.... on the shelf.....

sucks to be those guys
thats what a one-track-mind will get ya...

The problem is Microsoft released a system that did not need to be released period, only to get a early start on the next generation wars. I think we can all agree how f***ed up it is to pre-order a Xbox 360 several months ago, then to not be able to pick-up it because they ran out. What kind of nonsense is that? You pre-ordered a system but you could not get it the day it comes out because they sold it? I was with my friend when it first came out too. I see everyone waiting all night long outside of Best Buy like fools and we go to some nearby Gamestop, walk in, buy the system, and gone. The funny part is not the fact they are waiting out there right now. The funny part is when they get the system only to find out it does not work properly and they try to return it, only after spending hours outside standing.

im gettin a 360 but im not camping out at bestbuy for one!!

as an early gift a friend of mine at a certain store has given me inside info on shipment dates and times... and not the stores that everybody knows... i cant tell u the store.... yet...
for example Circuit City at 2:30 in the afternoon....
thats one...

i know everybody says how the system screws up, locks/freezes, scratches disks, etc. but with a few personal mods ill have it running as smooth as it should be and looking just as sharp...
yup, as soon as i get my hands on it im tearing that sucker open and at least installing rubber pads, and a better power source to prevent locks/freezing (idk how they messed THAT one up!)
then im going to order my mod chip offline and install that,,,

next is appearance....

i plan to airbrush the outer casing and put in neon blue lights to the inside

then ill mod the controllers... clear buttons with blue lighting inside...

o baby thissl be sweeeet!!!!

its all about moding baby!!!

So let me get this straight. While the likelyhood of your system going bonkers which is bound to happen, you rather mod it, thus voiding any warranty protection you had for your product? You waste a gazillion bucks on a system with no protection after you mod. Genius.

a gazillion.. its not all that much (unless i buy the 24k solid gold faceplate.... dear lord...)

and im gonna do a good job....

think about the alternative.... yea....

theres no real point to buying it if your not going to mod it to work out the kinks....

the biggest problem i see with it is disk scratching
(if u have a disk running and you turn the system from vertical to horizontal or vice versa the disk runs into the laser and many times the disk is unplayable afterward...)
that can be easily fixed by installing rubber pads...

trust me a moded x-box is worth it...
if you know what youre doing.... otherwise dont bother...
its only a 3 month warranty anyway... thats barely a warranty at all...

How is it a 3 month warranty? Modding your system does what? It be different if this was the cheap Xbox, but you are spending at least $400+ on a system that will or will not mess up shortly afterward. Oh I am sure you will do a good job if you plan to crack open your mother of a priced Xbox 360. You better do a gosh fantastic job with it. The point of buying a 360 is not to mod it, it is to buy it to play next generation games. Let Microsoft fix the problems it has with it.
