YGO Card Name Game

Another good guess. In fact, I am almost tempted to go ahead and award that to you. It wasn't what I was looking for, but it comes very close to satisfying the conditions given. There is but one minor issue: Gate Guardian. Gate Guardian is SO much like Valkyrion, that that cannot be right. Remember, it is a unique monster. It has one condition that belongs only to itself, and another that belongs only to itself and machines. Gate and Valk share their conditions, they are not unique. I'm looking for one of a kind here.

(asking for hint) is the unique characteristic part of the picture or part of the card description? What about the machine type part? Is it like metal arms or legs or something?
 
Has nothing to do with artwork, storyline, theme, etc. Only stats and / or effects of this and / or other cards are relevant. To give an ENORMOUS hint:
If you follow the current advanced format rules, you may not have more than two of me in your deck.
That make it easier? Limits the choices considerably.

I actually thought about him, but he doesn't bring anything out, and he's not like a machine. *light bulb goes off* It seems like it'd almost be RotA, too bad RotA's not a monster. I want to say Marauding Captain, but you can run 3. Bloody heck.

Abyss Soldier: don't see how it shares stats/effect with any machines, but it is rare in the yugioh world (as it is a game promo) and his effect is unique: discard 1 of his own type to send a card on the field back to the owners hand. But just in case I am wrong, lets be clear on something: you said you can't have more than 2. You didn't explicitly say that you could have even 2...........limited or forbidden?

It may very well be Abyss Soldier, prolly, cuz the whole unique ability is on par with the XYZ fusions. Hmmm, he can bounce a premature attached to him, allowing him to be tributed for something else. << But that's farfetched.

Perhaps Night Assailant? LOL. His effect is unique, as Machines are the main type that require heavy discard support to make their effects more likely to be efficient. And discarding him brings another monster out, albeit to your hand. :/

Correct! Now, just so we're clear, here are the two characteristics:
1) currently the only searcher that pulls monsters with a DEF of 1500 or less and only those monsters.
2) Currently the only non-machine type monster that is fusion material for more than one fusion monster!
How's that? It's your turn!

While I remain concealed through out my battles, I still manage to leave a ringing advantage with my player.
