Maybe "back in the day" means it was errata'd? Mystical Sheep #1? It's effect can be used when you "let it go" from your hand to the Graveyard.

Yes it was The Wicked Worm Beast. I have to say I figured once people started going through the monsters Rescue Cat would summon, that someone would have put together a grocery list of all of them.

As for the second clue, just use RONIN and look through all the monsters that have "Worm" in the name (there's only 6) and I shot off the 5 it wasn't.

And yes, the Worm isn't a Spirit, but can come back to your hand like them.

You're on the clock Magnum...
 
My very first riddle

At first I thought the coming back related to Outstanding Dog Marron, since it would be drawn back eventually. It was either that or Wicked Worm Beast, but when you mentioned spirits it had to be WWB.

Anyways, hope my first riddle doesn't prove to be too easy or too hard:

It is said to be one of Exodia's best friends, but there is no real cost except that everything is known. Do you copy that?
