YGO Card Name Game

No, the answer is 1 card, but it is involved in a 2 card combo and your (Densetsu X's) latest guesses were oh-so-close. I have a feeling someone's gonna hit the jackpot tonight.

Generation Shift
Normal Trap
Destroy 1 face-up monster on your side of the field. Add 1 card from your Deck to your hand with the same name as the destroyed card.
"¢ Destroying your monster for "Generation Shift" is not a cost. It's part of the effect.

It is said to be one of Exodia's best friends, but there is no real cost except that everything is known. Do you copy that?
Explanation:
Cost refers to the first line. From other cards, and templating, the first line is usually a cost. The rulings for Generation Shift state otherwise and I took advantage of that.
"Copy" refers to the next copy of Emissary of the Afterlife.
The eveything is known refers to the fact that the card being destroyed is Emissary, another Emissary is added to the hand as well as the Exodia piece from the 1st Emissary.
"¢ You can target a Limited monster with "Generation Shift", but after destroying the monster you don't search or shuffle your Deck.
"¢ You can target a Token Monster with "Generation Shift" and it will be destroyed, but you do not search or shuffle your Deck (this part of the effect is not resolved).

The more the merrier, but if there's only one, then by the same token, nothing can be done.
Explanation:
Obviously, with 3 Emissaries in the deck, it is better. If the card is limited such as Sangan, or if a token is destroyed, then you do not search for additional copies.

With this card, even though 1 is gone, 1 other replaces it. Breaking even is a rare occasion.
Explanation:
I've used Emissary #1 and Generation Shift, and I get Emissary #2 and a piece of Exodia: 2 for 2.

Combos with the Manticore
1/2 of 1/2 is correct, meaning 1/2 of the first 2 cards Densetsu X listed was right (GS). The other 1/2 (Manticore) was wrong.

Congratulations to Lord Hades!

Dude... that is so wrong. The purpose of this is to guess a card, not guess a combo. (Not to mention I listed both your cards in prior posts). So basically you made this a 2 card guess anyway.

Just to vent out a little... my clues may not have been the best but what is it that in the past couple we have a 2 card solution for one answer and a Japanese card for another. Sorry, but it's also hard to guess what the answer "should be" when they were already guessed.

You were so close. The Card is Generation Shift and I've been providing hints leading up to it. I wasn't going to make it too easy by having cards directly related to Exodia (Emissary, Sangan) being the mystery card.

Besides, this is how Generation Shift works. If I said: this card works with the almost specific Exodia searcher, then it would be almost too easy.

Alright, I think Densetsu X should do the next riddle.

Congratulations to Densetsu X for guessing the card correctly, and to Lord Hades for the combo. It's all yours Densetsu X.

OK, looks like the torch has been passed on. This was my first riddle, as I've never really taken part in this activity until a week ago, so please accept my apologies. I will admit it was fun, and will be more careful in the future.

Ok (I feel like doing something ridiculously easy).

Wow, twice in the same, uh, year, sort of.

Please answer the following questions as part of your profile for our video dating service:

1. What kind of girls do you find attractive?
"Er, I like girls who have at least six legs and a penchant for green leaves. Would prefer one who doesn't devour the male after mating."

2. What do you consider to be your strongest attribute?
"I don't know. I guess I'm good at flying. Even though I rust in the rainy season and can't do it as often."

3. What kind of effect do you think you have on women?
"Can we not talk about this? ... I mean, I like shy girls and all. I can be a little introverted myself. But it's not my fault they all, well, you know..."go away", when I reveal myself to them." "The ones with a good personality, anyway."

4. Do you consider yourself aggressive or do you tend to shy away from confrontation?
"<Sigh> Okay, can we stop now....what...no...well......what?... yes, I'm...strong....powerful...<sigh> Okay, fine. Most women could break me like a twig. Are you happy now?"
