I understand that....I was just commenting on the looks aspect...Maruno wouldn't make it that obvious but then again, he might fool us into thinking that we should look deeper when in reality it is just a looks thing. Either way, I think it's just his Jedi mind tricks at play.

With that thought....what about the spell card, Mind Control...?

Or even deeper, a digital jedi which would lead one to think of DJ's avatar, Solar Flare Dragon...?

Ironically, this is correct. Yoda in Episode 3 was entirely computer generated. Who is Yoda? Literally, he's a digital Jedi. Thus we look straight to Solar Flare Dragon.

Answering the clue, is he Yoda? didn't necessarily mean that "he" was the card you were guessing. "He" in this case is Digital Jedi, which as I mentioned before is what Yoda is in Episode 3. (Here I assume DJ is male, which I'd hope isn't a bad assumption :p )

In case I get another round in future, you might want to note that I almost never consider the card image. I find image clues far too obscure and difficult to solve.

Sorry, but you would have been wrong about questioning the word....
"tangentially"- adverb-1.pertaining to or of the nature of a tangent; being or moving in the direction of a tangent.
By the way...all three are also wrong....sorry
