well... back to college and Google... flies are studied in the realm of Entomology and if you search "Entomology Texas" you see hits right away for Texas A&M's Entomology department. There you can learn that flies are of the Diptera family.

So, my guess is

Black Ptera

not sure how that fits the last clue... but the along the lines of "flies" and "family"... BP seems like the right fit.
 
Neo-Spacian Black Panther?

The 2nd clue is like the Barney song, who is a dinosaur from our imagination. The Neo-Spacians are also from Jaden's imagination. The kitty also dissolves when he uses his effect.
 
Everyone is going off on the wrong tangents...forget origins of flies...think mechanism of eating...try this clue for now...

Still, all wrong....the very last clue and if someone doesn't get this, I give up trying...

I could be found in a dark abyss but if you see me, it meant someone else had to die....
