To mire = to entangle, but a mire is also a swamp/bog
Some kind of stall card, yet possibly something that justs the opponents into a worse situation

My side grows higher implies an increasing stat, or just an increasing number of monsters

rosebarb = thorn. possibly just a sharp pointy thing, possible double edged meaning.
overseer turns into a thorn unless this card were here.
Hmmm...

I am going to guess Thousand Eyes Restrict.
It stops the opponent attacking, it increases the cards on your side of the field, and without it, thousand eyes idol (overseer?) becomes a pain in the hand...
 
English Chef has just about got the clues down but it's not Thousand Eyes.

I bind you in Mire - it keeps your monsters from changing positions while equipped
While my side grows higher - it increases your equipped monster's attack by 500
Without me, My overseer or Guardian is a rosebarb to a gardener i.e. Stuck in your hand .can't summon him without it
