YGO Card Name Game

I'm guessing the pitcher and the goalie strive to prevent points scored against them. 6 and 9, when joined together and turned sideways, looks like the infinity symbol, possibly denoting a Continuous card.

Either Spirit Reaper (he stays even through battle, and prevents direct attacks (points) from being scored), or Spirit Barrier (when there's a player present, Spirit Barrier prevents any points (Battle Damage) from being scored).

Spirit Reaper: no
Spirit Barrier: no
Swords of Revealing: no
Swords of Concealing: no
Patrician of Darkness: no
Dreamsprite: no

The effect is continuous, like Maruno pointed out, but it's not a "redirect-like" effect. The order of 6 and 9 aren't important; 9 and 6 achieve the same type of result. The clues aren't meant to be malevolent or underhanded. Rather, they are to protect the identity of the card from random guesses.

Oh, you disappoint me, then. :D

I don't think, but then, maybe... could it be... Raijinili once said Gogiga Gagagigo is a palindrome in Japanese. Looking at 6 and 9, that's as good a guess as I can come up with.

Then, there is CED, which depicts him, and does sorta... blah, forget it...

Wow, you guys are taking this number thing way too seriously. It's pretty cut and dry, if you know what you're looking for.

*** going crazy ***

ok a monster with a continous effect, that has a connection with a Hockey Goalie and a Baseball Pitcher...

I got it!!

King Dragun

Not King Dragun.

Think about this. A goalie's job is to stop as many shots as possible. This is an easier task if you have less shots to face. Or better yet, no shots at all.

A pitcher's job is to not allow hits. This is an easier task if you have a good defense around you. Or better yet, a pitcher is so good that batters can't even hit the pitches.

The best offense is often times a good defense. Any monster you can think of like this? And that somehow ties 6 and 9 (or 9 and 6) into this?
