Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Trans(f)er & Tag Force 5

We're going to assume that the game URL is just an error on Konami's part. Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Transer is the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! related video game soon to be released for the Nintendo Wii. Set in the 5D's universe (that means CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES!! people), you'll be competing with 20 of the series' characters for possession of the "Duel of Legend Cup", either in "Free Mode" or as part of an original storyline written just for this game. Expect to see 4500 cards from the most recent sets including November 2010's upcoming booster set Star Strike Blast.

[/floatr]Konami has confirmed 2 Player online access via WiFi connection, as well as boasting an "original honeycomb mapping system" which will allow linear or non-linear play through the game's 13 stages. As for the gaming goodies which are part and parcel of any Yu-Gi-Oh! video game pack, the game will include three exclusive trading cards:
Closed Forest :field:
All face-up Beast-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK for each monster in your Graveyard. Field Spell Cards cannot be activated while this card is face-up on the field. Field Spell Cards cannot be activated the turn this card is destroyed.

Fighter Ape :dark:
BEAST/Effect/5*/ATK 1900/DEF 1200
This card is also treated as a Warrior-Type monster. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, this card gains 400 ATK. At the end of each of your Battle Phases, if you didn't battle with this card or an opponent's monster was not destroyed by battle during the turn, the ATK of this card returns to the original value.

Roaring Earth :continuous:
Trap
When a Beast-Type monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, whose DEF is lower than the attacking monster's ATK, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. The attack target loses 300 ATK and DEF

But probably the biggest mystery surrounding this release is the "amazing" Wii compatible add-on Konami keeps mentioning. So far I've not been able to find anything else on the matter, but will happily post pics or video provided none of our other YouTube crew beats me to it. I'm betting on a motorcycle Wii-mote.

Tag Force 5 for the PSP is presumably slated to be released around the same time as Duel Transer. It will boast the same number of cards available for play, including November's Star Strike Blast, be set in the 5d's universe, you'll be able to play in Story Mode or "Free Duel" and will include three unnamed exclusive trading cards. What's different here is you'll play as Yusei and it will apparently follow the story line for Season 2 of the series immediately following the Dark Signers saga.

In addition, ad-hoc game play (no internet connection required) will let 4 players team duel or compete in traditional one-on-one battles. This time you've got over 100 characters with fully rendered 3D cut scenes and over 300 hours of game play to completely diminish any chance of getting homework, housework, chores or any general responsibilities done within this year. Feed the kids early. WiFi connection will let you download or battle for new cards, however you'll only be able to do this in Story Mode.

While we don't know when either game will hit the market exactly, we think it's a good bet it will be sometime right around November to match the release of Star Strike Blast. Save your pennies and buy nothing but bread and water for the next four months. I'm sure your kids won't mind.
