Wow, surprised no one has actually done a review/opinion on this mean bean ((if anyone has then sorry for repetition but its not been listed in its own review)) Blade Knight CT1-EN002 Light **** Warrior/Effect If you have 1 or less cards in your hand, the ATK of this card on the field is increased by 400 points. Also, if this card is the only monster on your side of the field, negate the effects of Flip Effect Monsters destroyed by this card as a result of battle 1600 1000 Sercret Rare I've been a bit of a critic of warriors, whilst they are a key type of monster within the game I have become pretty fed up of seeing them, however Blade Knight does turn my head. Lets look at it's plus and minus sides of his effects shall we 1...
w00t: Reshef God of Destructionhttp://www.ideal808.com/image.asp?file=tlm_jp033.jpg&width=150 (LIGHT/Fiend/Ritual/8/2500/1500) [Ritual summoned by "Destruction Ritual"] Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can discard 1 Spell Card from your hand to graveyard to take control of one of your opponent's monsters until the end phase of the turn. I know what you're all saying: 8 STAR RITUAL?! 2500 ATK?! HELL NO! Well you're all wrong. Yes, 2500 ATK for 8 stars is quite... hefty... but you get a Change of Heart every turn. TLM seems to specialize with cards that take control of your opponent's monsters, and this is the king (or god) of those cards. (Brain Control, the Spirit Users, this, others...) No one likes to discard spell...
Not bad... hmmmm not bad at all! Lekunga Ioc-o27 Water/4/1700atk/1200def [Plant/Effect] Remove 2 WATER monsters in your Graveyard from play to Special Summon 1 "Lekunga Token" (Plant-Type/WATER/2 Stars/ATK 700/DEF 700) in Attack Position on your side of the field. Interesting card really. Decent, with a great effect. You got a 1700 atk monster here, not too shabby, defense I guess it's ok. But, the effect is like wow... amazing... If your not running an Salvage[s] within your Ocean Deck, I recommend play of this card. Your removing 2 WATER monsters from your Graveyard, don't forget your Graveyard is a very reliable source of poser when needed. And since your not going to retrieve any of those cards soon, why not put it to...
Dark Blade the Dragon Knight Fusion Monster (Warrior / DARK / 6 Stars / ATK 2200 / DEF 1500) "Dark Blade" + "Pitch-Dark Dragon" Each time this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, you can select up to 3 Monster Cards from your opponent's Graveyard and remove them from play. "¢ The effect of "Dark Blade the Dragon Knight" targets up to 3 Monster Cards in the Graveyard, so you select the monsters when the effect is activated. Alright, the beastly fusion!! This bad boy saw loads of time in my fusion deck back in the Magical Scientist era *ah, memories*. This card is totally anti-Chaos and is a decent beatstick to boot. Metamorphosis works with this card because it is a Level 6 fusion, and as such can be Meta'd from most...
A Feather of the Phoenix Normal Spell Discard 1 card from your hand. Select 1 card from your Graveyard and return it to the top of your Deck. Rulings: "¢ You can select the card you discarded for the cost of "A Feather of the Phoenix" to be the card returned to the top of your Deck. If you discarded "Night Assailant" or "Makyura the Destructor", then their effects will activate. "¢ You can select a Fusion Monster in the Graveyard for "A Feather of the Phoenix" but it is returned to the Fusion Deck. "¢ Discarding 1 card is a cost to activate this effect. Your opponent can chain "Disappear" to the activation of this card and remove the discarded card from play so that you cannot return it to the top of the Deck. "¢ This is an effect...
Article: Comprehensive Analyze Article: The TT Cards. . . Author: Tkwiget Origin: Duelist Underground Note: I have no intension of bashing either one of these cards or any other cards that I mention in this article. It is simply to share generalized facts and information about Needle Ceiling and Torrential Tribute. Discussion will be allowed and is encouraged in this thread to be taken place. Note#2: I will share as many note worthy strengths and weaknesses of Needle Ceiling and Torrential Tribute. I will help try to draw a new approach to deck building for some of you with the information provided in this article. Lets first break down the contents of these cards and give information about each card. First I will begin this...
Dark/Spellcaster/4/1800/700 Effect: Each time this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can remove from play up to 2 Monster Cards in your opponent's Graveyard. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot remove from play any cards in either Graveyard. Rulings: [Re: Bazoo the Soul-Eater] Removing Monster Cards from the Graveyard is a cost of "Bazoo the Soul-Eater"'s effect, so if your opponent chains to the activation of this effect with "Call of the Haunted", to Special Summon "Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer", the effect of "Bazoo the Soul-Eater" is not negated since the Monster Cards were already removed. [Re: Book of Life] If you activate "Book of Life" and your opponent...
Trap You can only activate this card when your opponent's monster declares an attack. Remove all monsters in Defense Position on your opponent's side of the field from play. Rulings: 1. "Dark Mirror Force" doesn't stop the attack. 2. Both face-up and face-down Defense Position monsters are removed from play. 3. You can't activate "Dark Mirror Force" if your opponent doesn't have any Defense Position monsters. Not quite sure what theme this week is but in any case this afternoon we take a look at Mirror Force's evil twin. Just like its Holy counterpart, Dark Mirror Force destroys all opponent's monster's that exist in a certain position when they attack with a monster. Only this one takes out the defense...
Hey people, Here's my first COTD review.Seeing that my avatar thingy is the aforementioned card I thought to myself why not review it. Your post count will go up by one and you could practice some vocabulary. So I said yes. Now here I am. On to the review!!!: Solemn Judgment - MRD-127 Pay half of your life points when your opponent either activates a Magic or Trap card or summons a monster (including a special summon) to negate the action and destroy the Magic card, Trap card or summoned monster. Thoughts: Decent effect. Negates any and everything from the almighty Jinzo to the oh so overplayed Black Luster Soldier - Messenger Of Creation. The cost maybe a bit high early mid-game, but coming down to the end it becomes extremly handy...
As I mentioned in yesterday's card review. The cards you see reviewed here aren't always going to be the most commonly played cards you'll see in tournaments. While we hope to help players understand those cards, we also hope to introduce new possibilities to players to expand their options. Today's card, Chaos End, is obviously one of those spell cards you're not likely to see in tournament play"¦"¦yet. If you've been playing this game for a few years you've learned though. When many cards are introduced in a new set you may very well pass them over quickly figuring their playability is poor at best. You've no doubt noticed though, the increasing support for removed from play area cards. In the last couple of days we've looked at...
Fengsheng Mirror Group: Spell Card Type: Spell Look at your opponent's hand. Select and discard 1 Spirit monster to the Graveyard if Spirit monsters exist in his/her hand. Been trying to find out instructions for this card but currently there appears to be none. Just wondering can you activate this card even if you're opponent doesn't have any Spirit monsters in his/her hands.
"I summon Bazoo the Soul-Eater. Since I have priority, I activate Bazoo the Soul-Eater's effect to remove Jinzo and Dark Magician of Chaos from my graveyard boosting Bazoo's attack to 2200. Any response? No? Alright, now I activate my face down trap card, Return from the Different Dimension, paying half of my life points, any response? No? Alright, I'll special summon Jinzo and Dark Magician of Chaos. I'll return Nobleman of Crossout to my hand from my graveyard from Dark Magician of Chaos's effect and activate Nobleman of the Crossout clearing your side of the field of monsters. Any response? I attack with Bazoo the Soul-Eater for 2200, now with Jinzo for 2400, and finally with Dark Magician of Chaos for 2800 for a total of...
DCR-052 Interdimensional Transporter SD1-EN026 DR1-EN214 Run! Run! Run away! Live to fight another day. Have you ever tributed a monster or two only to see that summon hit the graveyard as fast as it did the field? Have you ever attacked with your Dark Magician of Chaos and it met with a Mirror Force or Sakuretsu Armor? Perhaps you thought you had the game locked up and Exiled Force hit the field to wish your Black Luster Soldier-Envoy to the Beginning a fond farewell. These are the times when you call Interdimesional Matter Transporter "Friend" Keep in mind here that Interdimensional Matter Transporter doesn't special the removed monster back to the field. I'm sure we could all think of a great many uses for this card if...
Ol' School, my friend ol' school. Upstart Goblin Draw 1 card from your deck. Increase your opponent's Life Points by 1000 Life Points. Not bad, if your willing to look for some speed to quickly pace through your deck. Don't get me wrong, there's a reason why this card was limited to 1, but as of today it is only semi-limited. I know your opponent gains 1000 Life Points, and that's worth alot to your opponent, but what you draw hopefully will be worth it and equal to the 1000 Life Points. I guess Konami created that effect to sort of balance it out, to make sure it isn't too powerful. With Painful Choice gone, this wouldn't be such as bad idea for a replacement. Think about this review in a different manner... a different point...
Exiled Force Effect Monster (Warrior / EARTH / 4 Stars / ATK 1000 / DEF 1000) Tribute this face-up card. Destroy 1 monster on the field. And let the debate rage on here. I'm pretty certain that most players either have this card or have had it used against them so they're all well aware of what it can do. The stats aren't much, but who's using this card for the stats anyway? Being a 4 Star Warrior as well, it can be searched out by pretty much anything. While not quite a staple card, it ranks in the tier just below. So where's the controversy? Much of his debate lately has been vs. "The End of Anubis" (yesterday's review) since his effect is considered a Graveyard Effect. Not in the typical sense of "Sangan" or "Mystic Tomato"...
Alright, Tuesday's CotD is: Different Dimension Gate Continuous Spell Select 1 Monster Card each from you and your opponent's sides of the field and remove them from play. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, return those monsters to the field in the same battle position as when they were removed from play. Wow, cool stuff, eh? This card begs to be abused with D. D. Scout Plane and Survivor of the Different Dimension (when he comes out) This card also has the handy trick of allowing a Spirit monster that is removed from play to remain on the field indefinately, unless Compulsory Evacuated, or something. Good combo with Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi. I give this card a 3.25/5, but a 5/5 in the right deck. sorry for the...
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning Effect Monster (Warrior / LIGHT / 8 Stars / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500) This card can only be Special Summoned by removing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster in your Graveyard from play. Once during each of your turns, you can select and activate 1 of the following effects: "¢ Remove 1 monster on the field from play. If you activate this effect, this card cannot attack during this turn. "¢ If this card destroyed your opponent's monster as a result of battle, it can attack once again in a row. What can be said that we don't already know about this card? Arguably one of the 5 toughest/strongest/broken monsters in the game period (if you take out the banned cards, some would even say the #1 monster)...
Emes the Infinity; DBT-001 (Destiny Board Traveler...must be some kind of promo card for a console game or whatever...get it on eBay) Type: Machine Attribute: LIGHT Level: 7 ATK: 2500 DEF: 2000 Effect: Each time this card destroys an opponent's monster and sends it to the Graveyard as a result of battle, increase the ATK of this card by 700 points. Fine, now that's one card with a pretty straightforward effect. Not 7 barely readable lines of effect text like on Paladin of White Dragon, no endless rulings listed as for Skill Drain, just one simple line of text. Fine, fine. A look at his stats, his weaknesses, the solutions to them, and a summary. I. Infinity. Machine-type is nice, quite supported, LIGHT makes it usable to...
Burst Stream of Destruction Normal Spell You can only activate this card when there is a face-up "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" on your side of the field. Destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" cannot attack during the turn you activate this card. It's "Raigeki" for your "Blue-Eyes White Dragon". What more do you need? :) If you want to fully maximize using it, use this after a) Tributing "Paladin of White Dragon" to summon BEWD since he can't attack anyway or b) Activate/summon "Non-Spellcasting Area" / "Imperial Order" / "Silent Sowrdsman LV7" to negate the lingering effect and have BEWD put a major hurting on your opponent. Simply beautiful.
Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End Effect Monster (Dragon / DARK / 8 Stars / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500) This card can only be Special Summoned by removing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster in your Graveyard from play. Pay 1000 of your Life Points to send all cards in both player's hands and on the field to the Graveyard. Inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each card sent to the Graveyard by this effect. This card is the single most powerful and overly broken card in the game. He's easy to summon, as strong as about anything else you can put out, and the effect is easily combo-able so that not only are you inflicting massive damage, but chances are you can set up the win if you hadn't already. At the very...
