    8 simple questions

    1) Soul Exchange targets. The reaper dies 2) The 'state' that Soul Exchange sets up becomes useless. 3) The player in control of the monsters chooses the order of the resolution of the effects. Standard SEGOC situation. 4) Boosted. 5) no idea, though there have been discussions on...

    Secondary Chains

On your 'who has priority?' question, I might be really wrong about this, but I'm going to learn something from this either way. I believe that in general, the off-turn player gets first-dibs to react to an event. The only time this isn't the case is when the turn player summons something...

    Second Goblin

You mean Giant Orc, not GAF, don't you? Second Goblin has no bearing on Goblin Attack Force ...

As long as you have cards to discard for the effect. No, its a spell speed 1 ignition effect.

    Mid Chain

Jinzo is indeed brought back in the middle of a chain, but Jinzo's effect is continuous and does not use the chain, and applies once he hits the field, rendering any traps that happen to be on the chain thereby negated. However, that's not really the issue at the heart of 'mid-chaining'.

    12 simple questions

    1) Nothing wrong with that. 2) Blade Knight's effect is continuous, so yes. 3) Airknight has already destroyed the monster as a result of battle if it got its effect draw-cards effect. So the fate of the destroyed monster won't be undone by Divine Wrathing Airknight. 4) Your not...

Multiple Chains in the Battle Phase

For cylinder, Mirror Force, etc. the last action must be an attack declaration. In the response chain to the attack declaration, activation of other effects in the chain does not change the fact that the last thing to have happened was an attack declaration. So it will not matter in an...

    Ground Collapse vs. Dimension Hole

Seeing as Ground Collapse cannot target a monster zone blocked by another Ground Collapse, then extending the principle, I don't think Ground Collapse can target the monster zone temporarily blocked by Dimensionhole.

    Self-Destruction Buttom

within effect resolution is one of the few times game state is not checked. Thats why you can't win with Exodia if your hand is completed before you discard for Graceful. But if you pull Exodia, say with Jar of Greed, and there are still chain links left to resolve, you still automatically win...

    Self-Destruction Buttom

The life point count is part of the game state that is checked at most times in a game, including between chain links. So if your life goes to 0 between resolution of effects in a chain, you lose. This is also why you can claim an Exodia win between effects in a chain.

Horn of Heaven Vs monsters special summoned by other monster's effects

I feel likely entering a cauldron putting my 2 cents into this topic. I look at HoH vs. Monster Reborn (and similar) this way: (yes, I'm a computer programmer) Monster Reborn activates (nothing else happens) Resolution: Acquire 'resolution' lock -> Monster Reborn special summons some...

    xing zhen hu

Wasn't my intention to say that it wasn't in anyway 'non-binding'. Nevertheless, should both cards that are selected for XZH be legally activatible at the time of the activation of XZH, the chain could conceivably go thus: # player activates XZH, declaring 2 F/D S/T cards as targets of XZH...

Its not hard and fast, its an example. Its not saying you are limited to only being able to activate one - its talking about what would happen if you chained one only (the other one remains effected). If you get to chain both, good for you. The second ruling implies that it is possible that...

    pay half your life points....

I've always gone under the 'round up' (ie. you round upwards to next higher whole number) - I remember asking about what happens when you Solemn Judgment on 1 lp, and the answer I got from this forum was that your 0.5 gets rounded up to 1, and that in general you round upwards.

    Question about Spatial Collapse

Suppose Player A has Spatial Collapse active Player B summons Jinzo, Spatial Collapse is negated, limit effect off. Sometime later, both players have more than 6 cards on the field, Spatial Collapse is still face-up, and player A destroys Jinzo somehow. What happens next? Do the players now need...

    life point rounding

As far as I'm aware, life points round to the nearest whole number should you happen to be halving an odd number, eg activating solemn judgement. What happens if you happen to be on 1 life point and want to activate, for example, solemn judgement?
