The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

You would think that since you have 3 different people going into more explanation beyond what's merely in the Rulebook that either a) we must have some idea what we are talking about or b) we're all a bunch of idiots. Let me give you a hint about this game. There is a LOT more to the...

1 Missing Hobby League Card has shown up

As I said, it's HL04. That's why it wouldn't have the "5" on there. But several people have gotten the card. Deepdark even has it for trade I believe.

The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

I'm the turn player controlling both effects. Both Manditory. Hence why I put Stumbling as Link 1.

The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

There are a few things wrong with your logic. 1) Flip Summoning a monster has no bearing on the 1 "Normal Summon or Set" rule. That is stated in the player's handbook. If you had 5 set monsters on the field (say from a Cyber Jar flip from your opponent last turn), you can Flip Summon all 5...

The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

I already "deconstructed" it. Twice. Both times you ignored the key point here. The mechanics of a Flip Summon involves taking a face-down monster (usually defense position, but with Darkness Approaches, it could be face-down attack position) and placing it in face-up attack position. There...

    TAEV sneak experiences

Well was she leaving the event? I mean she could simply say "Scoop, Drop". Granted, not really fair to the guys getting byes after that but at the same time, hard to penalize someone for doing something that the rules explicitly allow.

    advanced ritual art

If you wanted to you could.

    advanced ritual art

Sending monsters to the Graveyard is the effect of Advanced Ritual Art (and every other Ritual Spell), not the cost. So aside from screwing up the potential Doom Dozer follow up in a Demise deck, Macro Cosmos and related cards will do nothing to prevent the effect from going off.

The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

No, what you are saying is wrong. There is no Def to Def Flip Summon. The card ends in Attack Position at the end of a Flip Summon. Period. Other cards on the field MAY end up changing the battle position so the card ends up in defense position, but that is completely irrelevant when...

The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

A Flip Summon is ALWAYS a manual action done by the player that mechanically ends with the card in face up attack position. The only DEF-to-DEF flip that you have is by card effect (Ceasefire, Desert Sunlight) or by battle, neither of which is a Flip Summon.

The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

*sigh* Again, I will have to refer to something I've mentioned in a few other posts of late. "Common Sense". No, a face-down monster cannot declare an attack. Yes, a face-down monster is flipped face up when attacked. Yes, Darkness Approaches is the oddball card in the game, doing something...

question on trooper (might sound a bit nooby)

As you said, Tribute <> Destroy. 2 separate things, so no, the wouldn't draw a card.

Trying to understand: Thestalos vs. Sangan

You have to "micromanage" this a little bit for it to make more sense. You tribute Sangan with Thestalos. Sangan is in the Graveyard at this point however noone said that the summon was successful. You could still interrupt it with Forced Back or Solemn Judgment and the like. Sangan's effect...

    "gemini" monsters

    Yup. filler.

    "gemini" monsters

Birthright only cares that the monster is a Normal Monster in the Graveyard. As you noticed, once the monster is summoned, all that is checked is if the monster and itself are still on the field and if 1 leaves destroy the other. Birthright also targets the monster but it never equips itself...

The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

DJ, I'm really not sure what you were trying to go with here. First off, a monster can be Flip Summoned, Flipped face up by a card effect, or Flipped face up by Battle (the latter being your "Summonless" Flip, though really I'm not sure why you're making up terms here). Second your Level...

Snatch Steal, Cyber Phoenix, and any other machine

That is also one of the bugs in the game (along with the Multi-Trigger Malicious). Slither is right in that normally you wouldn't be allowed to activate it.

    Ha Des vs. Malicious

Not quite. While he's on the field, all Fiend-Types have the abililty to negate the effect of a monster they destroy in battle. Now because he's a Fiend, that effect applies to himself as well, but say someone came along and through DNA Surgury made everything Fish. Well, the "All Fiends can...

The Rulings Headache a.k.a. Darkness Approaches

Believe it or not, Darkness Approaches is actually a lot simpler than you are making it out to seem and except for the battle position not changing (and being a normal spell card), it is mechanically the same as Book of Moon? How do you ask? If I summon a monster this turn and it is targeted...

1 Missing Hobby League Card has shown up

Remember that the Series 4 Hobby Leagues went from 1, 2, 3, to 6 (HL04-EN004 and HL04-EN005 "disappeared"). Well, one was found. HL04-EN004 http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e281/turkeyspit/graceful.jpg Yes, that is Graceful Charity. Speculate all you want if it's coming back or not, but...
