Battle phase skipping

Let's say I have a face up Berserk Gorilla on the field and there is also and active Gravity Bind in play.

Usually it is impossible to skip my own battle phase with Berserk Gorilla, since it must attack if possible, however as it stands, Beserk gorilla cannot attack at all. Is it therefore possible to skip my own battle phase in this case?

At least that's one ruling change which has cleared something up, a simple errata to Beserk Gorrilla would've done the trick but either way it's cleared up.

Since you seem to be good buds with them do you know if Exiled Force Vs EoA was on the list?;)
Suddenly have this vision of John Danker under a table with a stethoscope... (*Simpsons reference*)

On the list of topics to discuss where, "Where cards activate and how that effects....among others, Curse of Anubis.

I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say I'm, "Good buds".....the L3s just have an additional forum and are privy to a bit more information and consulted from time to time concerning problem issues.

Ah, I see, all the more reason to try improve me knowledge and understanding in the hopes of maybe having a crack at the Lv 3 exam at next year's Irish Nationals so...
Hopefully these e-mails will continue to clear up ruling issues (can think of many ambiguous ones at the moment).

As an interesting note.

When Kevin first announced his arrival and that there would be some changes, i decided to take a stroll over to the Advanced FAQ section.

To my horror, i saw some extra text in the "Costs" section, that basically stated that "Costs are payed prior to declaring the activation of an effect"

That would be in support of the Exiled ruling, and would significantly change the interation of many effects.

They quickly removed it, and the first 2 examples from the section. As you notice it starts at "Example #3" ;). I don't know what the removal indicates, whether they are revising it, or that it was being changed. My guess is that that want to have it perfect before they say it because it is a dramatic change.

This is one mechanic that is going to make me grit my teeth explaining and answering questions for.

That's what it says in the latest version of the rulebook.

It's back up on the FAQ section:
"Costs are paid before activation. So to activate "Seven Tools of the Bandit", or the effect of "Cannon Soldier", or play "Premature Burial", you pay the Life Points or Tribute the monster before you activate the card or use the effect. (In other words, you pay the cost then announce your intention to use the card.) This includes flipping the card, for a Trap, or playing it from your hand, for a Spell Card."

Looks like the Exiled Force ruling will stand.

I've always noticed yugioh-card.com has an aversion to actually finishing a web page before they upload it the internet. Based on that and the fact that alot of things don't look like they are proofread or even spell-checked, I've come to the conclusion that someone in charge is in a big hurry to put whatever they have up rather than wait till all information is gathered, analyzed and double checked.

In short it just makes them look unprofessional. And a little flakey.
