Card Lists

Does anyone have or know where I can get a list that breaks out cards by what they do? For example, they might list all monsters that are searchers, or all cards that boost life points, etc.

This would make deck construction considerably easier (especially for those of us who have not memorized every single card in the game.)

Your absolute best bet is to get RONINâ„¢. I'm still amazed how many people don't know about this little application. With over 2,000 copies installed on desktops worldwide and it used in aproximately 30% of sanctioned tournaments, I truly think that it is someone that just doesn't keep up with what's what in the world of Yugioh that hasn't heard about the genius of RONINâ„¢.

Grab a copy of it today and get in touch with what it really means to be in charge of your own knowledge of the cards. ;)

This message brought to you by the letter 2 and the number Q, and someone who absolutely knows what they're talking about. ;)

Now if RONIN could also have a "suggested price guide" with it as well. ;)

Impractical. Too many different variables there. (And the only good ones are proprietary.) Who's price guide ya going to use? Scry? Becketts? eBay with all the different individuals? The pricing of card is actually arbitrary. Since they aren't actually sold that way originally, there is no basis for the price determination other than someone's opinion of the worth of the card. And THAT, as we all know, is extremely individual. You might think that Breaker is a great card. I might think it sucks. I'd give you a dollar for it and no more. You might pay thirty just to get your hands on one. I might just give it to you for free because I have eight. That's no basis for market value.

This is all aside the fact that RONINâ„¢ stands for "Rulings Online Networked Information Node". Emphasis mine.

If you want a price guide, you'll have to pay for it. ;)

I just downloaded RONIN. It is so cool. How do they have the rulings and effects of the new cards already?

The rulings for the Flaming Eternity cards were officially posted on Upperdeck's site a few days before the preview event.

Once they are posted, then RONIN gets an update that says, got get 'em! and they get added to the RONIN system. (I'm sure that's an extreeeemely simplified explaination of how it works.)

We actually have booster set information months in advance, to tell the truth. But we cannot release them until after UDE either posts them or they are confirmed to ship. We merely do it as soon as possible in order to provide them to the public in an efficient manner. ;)

card list

Thanks for listing Ronin as a tool to use. I never heard of it before, and just downloaded it. Seems like a really useful program. Thanks again.

Spread the word ... the more the merrier ... and there's more coming out soon to add to the software pile of useful utilities. :D

i love ronin, it's really handy for finding hard-to-find card rulings, and wordings
thanks, netrep!!!!!!!!

Let's all give the Ronin team a round of applause, for their hard work and efficiency. Also keep in mind that the Ronin is a very powerful tool not only for rulings alone but also for deck building purposes as well, so it can help players develop better decks, while at the same time reducing the deck construction problems or illegal use of cards etc

One thing that you'll see released soon is Deck Studioâ„¢. That's our deck building tool. However, as always, we're planning way ahead of where we actually are. And I can tell you that the proprietary elements that are being developed for Deck Studioâ„¢ 2.0 -- with the caveat in place: should testing continue to prove out as it is now -- will revolutionize the way that you build decks by light years ahead of your opponents ... unless they are using it too. ;)

I want to say congratulations to the RONIN programmers, the program really helps me !

But I have some things to say :

- There should be a reference researcher, to search a card with his reference, it only can be useful
- Very much card hasn't all the rulings they should have, could Curtis Shultz or another guy help you ?

But I want to say good work :)

Not sure what you mean here. RONINâ„¢ has every official ruling (of which I am aware) that UDE has released. In fact, we have them before they even go up on the website, but crossreferencing with website is what maintains our accuracy since UDE is known for changing things at the last minute and making all previous information obsolete (not a bad thing, just pointing it out).

Having Curtis do anything with RONINâ„¢ would be redundant since he merely interprets or provides extrapolations to the official rulings. He does not provide any new rulings (according to an official UDE statement, at least). RONINâ„¢ is the most complete source of official rulings anywhere outside of the official website which is the only source of official rulings (according to that same official UDE statement, at least).

However, I am sure that the devs are always glad to hear wonderful things about RONINâ„¢. The 2.0 version looks to be just an amazing piece of work, from what I can see right now, and will be expansive into other game systems like VS, Magic, Shaman King, WARS and others, while being able to interface with other EGI software like Deck Studioâ„¢.

Deck Building tool....I like it. Here's a suggestion for that. After a deck is completed and compiled put in a function that downloads the rulings for the cards in the deck and complies them into one "booklet" that can be printed out.

How cool would it be to be able to complile a deck and then spit out it's own custom rulings booklet to be able to carry around with you and refer to at any time?

Actually, you can do that now with RONINâ„¢, but I think -- if I recall correctly -- that Deck Studioâ„¢ will also have the ability to interface with RONINâ„¢ for that very purpose. All EGI software is modular; meaning, it all works together to form a Suite of software that is the ultimate for player's to keep track of inventory, build decks from both inventory only (for live) or full card (for theoretical) list and check the latest and greatest official rulings of any and every card.

Throw MAGUSâ„¢ Professional on top of all that and you have a full tournament suite that will create deck lists, verifiy official rulings and maintain your tournament creation and reporting all in one complete software package.
