Heavy Mech Support Platform RDS-EN011

What to say about this card that hasn't been said already... often.

It's almost a staple for Machine decks. It's also the 1st Union Monster that protects the monster it is equipped to from being destroyed, regardless how it is destroyed. (Note, it has no effect on tributing, removed from play, sent to the graveyard, or remove from the field. Only "destroy"). It also gives the monster a nice 500 ATK/DEF boost. Yes, the most useful combo is with "Limiter Remover", since the machine won't be destroyed at the end phase and retain a nice ATK boost afterwards.

It's easy to bring several out to the field with "Machine Duplication". And it makes "Jinzo" even more of a beast to deal with (a 2900 attacker that needs 2 hits to be killed).

Honestly, this card is too good for its own good. (And guys, please let's not turn this thread into another rulings debate over "Heavy Mech Support Platform". Thanks.)

All machine decks should deck at least one of these babies before you deck limiters....

only if Metallising Parasite was a 4 star..........

like both u guys said, it is a excellent card for machine decks, just not good for topdecking.
a 2900 jinzo is awesome and BBD being 2800 with removal being awesome as well, this alongside MP is major ownage, but best be used in advanced format.

I don't believe it's a super short print, i believe only the Train cars were in RDS, being that i have like 30 platforms and only 4 Train Cars. But hey maybe it's just me

Personally I prefer to use Mystic Woks with my Limiters, you end up with an obscene amount of life points and don't really care what your opponent throws at you in their turn, should they survive the attack. The problem I have with Heavy Mech Support is that you need Ultimate Offering or Frontline Base in play to really get enough use out of it, otherwise it's costing you your summon for the turn when you might be better off summoning something else instead, e.g. Jinzo.

I have about 8 copies of this card, you guys sure it's short print or did I just get lucky?

How DO you tell the differenece between a card thats SSP and one that isn't?

That aside, this is an excellent machine card. Heh, the only union monster that'll protect your machine from getting destroyed no matter how. Yeah, it still won't protect them if they're tributed, Removed from play, etc but its still an good card.

Machine Duplication and Last Will work well too. Both can easily fit in a Machine deck.

Emergency provisions is a Good example of a short print.

its common, but its hard as nails to get 3x copies of it.

Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying. So even between commons there's a degree of rarity.

yes the famous Uncommon.

its wierd, but like i said there are alot of cards that were short print.

like the opposite of Cease Fire, that one trap that lets you gain LP and negate flip effects.

thats another Short Print, i only managed to get 1 copy ever.

same deal with Emergency provisions. and for that i traded some kid for that didnt even knew how to use it.

Tried Last Will myself and it's only okay, tend to fare better without it, Machine Duplication will only work on weak/weakened (via equips etc...) machines so it's too situational for my likes, at least with Frontline Base you stand to get two summons in a turn and with the XYZ pieces being some of the better machine cards it's quite usable.

It's true, one of the coolest and useful union monsters to come out. I run 3 of them in my machine deck along with 3 A-team Trap Disposal Units and 2 Machine Duplicaions :)

Only downside is when my opponent take my equiped machine away from me and tributes it :-(

A monster can be "destroyed and removed from play"

Cool. So as along as its getting 'destroyed' than the effect will will save the machine from being sent to the graveyard or being removed from play.

Yeah XYZ parts and this machine would benefit greatly from Frontline Base. A shame a monster can only have one union monster attached to it. But then it would broken if that rule wasn't so.

If a player has just summoned a machine type monster and has Heavy Mech Support Platform already on the field and the opponent activates Bottomless Trap Hole in response and you chain Formation Union so that Heavy Mech attaches itself to the machine type monster, at resolution would the machine monster summoned be removed from play or would Heavy Mech Support just be destroyed.

The effect of Bottomless Trap Hole destroys the monster and removes it from play, reading that it would say Heavy Mech Support would just be destroyed, any ideas?
