Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi LOD-EN070

Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi
Spirit Monster (Pyro / FIRE / 8 Stars / ATK 2800 / DEF 2900)

This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to the owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn that this card is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or flipped face-up. If this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, your opponent must discard all cards in his/her hand during the next Draw Phase before they draw.

Well, he has all the same drawbacks as Yamata Dragon so no need to repeat those here. The effect though is much sweeter. Nothing like forcing your opponent into a top-decking situation. This makes him slightly more useful than Yamata Dragon for the price since if you were able to clear the field some and allow this guy to do damage, even if he returns to your hand, you will be in the stronger position. The drawbacks though still don't make this too great a card unless you build your deck especially for it. Between the 2 though I would pick Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi over Yamata Dragon (after all, just look at the way he's wailing on the Dragon on the "Last Turn" card ;) )

If I was to play this, I would rather set it and let the opponent hang him/herself.
yeah, but when you see someone tribute two monsters for a face down monster, they may get a bit suspiscious... they probably would just end up Nobleman'ing it or something. Hino can cause some major damage, both damage wise and hand wise. an ATK of 2800 is very nice, and can take out most things out there. the spirit thing severely hurts him, obviously, but in a spirit deck or something, he can be very useful and dangerous. if all the cards that Noah used in the show were real, spirit decks would probably be used a lot more. maybe... or not... yeah...

personal experience with this card recommends to not using him, unless of course you base a deck around him (but thats hard). so far, however, he has one of, if not the, best hand discarding effects in the game.

artwork is completely awesome. he looks like he could whoop some *** out there. (and with 200 more ATK points, i would hope he could wail on yamata)

one sneaky thing you could do is, play cost down, play other stuff, then sac 1 for it. Maybe your opponent will have forgotten you played Cost Down, escpecially if you played Painful Choice. This may not be proper duelist conduct:eek: , however......

i'll try to find out.

i have no idea what that means.... but ok... ^_^

just read something about this card: your opponent cant activate any card effects before his effect activates during their draw phase. (no MST's, etc)

also, if they skip their draw phase, the effect doesnt happen. (dont use time seal with this card)

thank you netrep for the info! (Chack the ruling)

Best card to include in a deck for Hino would be shooting bow star ceal ( corret spelling ??) the combo only needs to work 1 time. direct attack hino returns to hand equip goes bye bye but the effect is devistating.

The strike ninja combo for keeping spirits coming back is great also.

Then there is dimension hole, and dimension gate, skill drain then emergency provision it after your opponent draws hino will remain on the field. and will never return to hand by his own effect. tons of ways to keep him and use him. Hino is one of my fav's especially in a fire/pyro deck.

I am the Master of Zombie control!
