I've tried to agree, but...

I was thinking about Sangan and when his summon is negated via Horn of Heaven or Solemn Judgement. I searched in the forums, read the last discussion, I know the official rule says his effect is negated, but I still couldn' t "buy it".
Why his effect is negated if I summon him and the opponent "HoH, SJ"s him? Where is he at this moment and how is it possible to him not be in the hand or on the field? Is he in the already discussed "different dimension", "nowhere land", "limbo zone" etc?
I know the rule and I can just accept it, but if I could have some more reasons to believe it, it would be great.
Also, in the end, what statement about when Sangan is already face-down on the field, is flip-summoned and negated is accepted right now? In this case, his effect works or not?

Thanks in advande, sorry for my poor English and to be asking it again.

Well, I started this discussion again, and despite I'm not exactly a game expert, I just want to give my opinion after it all.
I liked Squid's idea: field is an "aura". When we summon a monster we put him on the table, but this doesn't mean it is on the field yet, as the field itself is not exactly the playmat. But this doesn't answer all the questions, and despite someone's view (I don't remember who exactly, maybe DJ) "the monster is destroyed without reaching the field, it doesn't matter where it is", it's just strange that there is no place defined for it to be. But I can agree with that too.

Thanks for all the answers and just a situation I've thinked about, a new thread to the discussion, as I can't find a good answer to this too: What if I, for example, I special summon Sangan face-up on the field with premature, it's not negated and he reaches the field successfully. Then, I summon Tsukuyomi and flip it face-down. Next turn, when I try to flip-summon it, my opponent uses SJ or HoH. What happens? I don't get the effect, despite it once was recognized to be face-up on the field, my opponent knows what monster it is, I know, the "game" knows, everyone knows? This sound extremely strange too. I would like to have a good answer for that.

Once Sangan has been flipped face down the game says your opponent doesn't "know" what that monster is. This is a matter of definitions not common sense. The monster is face down and thus an unknown to the opponent. It doesn't matter that the monster was just face-up.

Which is why Metamorphosis doesn't work on your opponent's face down monsters when you activate Soul Exchange.

Well, my theory that its not anywhere when its destroyed, that it's simply destroyed and nothing more might have a little weight to it, since cards picked up by Cyber Jar are simply sent the Graveyard and nothing more. Any thoughts on that? ;)
