By now you know that I adore the weird cards, the ones that have potential but hardly anyone plays in a competitive deck. Fairy Box fits that bill perfectly.
Go ahead, snicker, point, demean me....and go onto the next thread.
Now, for those of you who LOVE to annoy your opponent, make them uncertain, and make them tempt fate...read on.
Card # LON-EN024
Card Name Fairy Box
Card Type Trap
Is Counter No
Is Continuous Yes
Card Text
Each time a monster on your opponent's side of the field attacks, toss a coin and call Heads or Tails. If you call it right, the attacking monster's ATK becomes 0 only during the Battle Phase. Pay 500 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, this card is destroyed.
Rulings
1. If you have two copies of "Fairy Box" active on the field you may flip a coin twice, but only need to call 1 correctly to reduce the attacking monster's ATK to 0.
2. The current ATK is reduced to 0, including all Equip Spell Cards. Trap Cards and Quick-Play Spell Cards cannot further increase the monster's ATK this battle. A monster effect such as "Injection Fairy Lily" can increase its own ATK after "Fairy Box" is successful.
3. Paying 500 Life Points is optional, if you choose not to pay "Fairy Box" is destroyed.
4. The effect of "Fairy Box" does not target, so "Lord of D." will not prevent "Fairy Box" from reducing the ATK of an attacking Dragon-Type monster to 0.AST-014Stone Statue of the AxtecsAny Battle Damage your opponent takes when he/she attacks this monster is doubled.
Yeah, 500 lp a turn. <shrug> How many ways are there to make that up in the game these days? How many of you play Emergency Provisions?
Now consider this...
Your summon Dream Clown, set Fairy Box and Gravity Bind and end your turn.
Your opponent summons their Vampire Lord and your respond by activating Fairy Box. At this point your opponent has a very difficult decision to make!
<Best Clint Eastwood voice> Sooo...what's it gonna be? Do ya feel LUCKY punk?
Call it right and Vampire Lord's atk is reduced to 0, the the attack goes through and Vampire Lord is destroyed in battle and your opponent takes 1200 lp damage.....or, as a second response, Gravity Bind is activated and Dream Clown turns to defense on your turn clearning Vampire Lord out of the way for your newly summoned monster until next turn....when you can use Fairy Box again to deter his attack.
What's the most fun to have with Fairy Box? Why...Stone Statue of the Aztecs in defense position of course! You remember Stone Statue of the Aztecs don't you? It's sitting in your binder gathering dust....put it together with Fairy Box and DARE your opponent to attack!
AST-014
Stone Statue of the Aztecs

Do the math!
If nothing else Fairy Box makes your opponent doubt themselves, it keeps them thinking about their chances rather than their game.
Remember that Fairy Box has a maintenance cost that is optional. Refuse to pay for it and away it goes or use Emergency Provisions to pay for two turns worth of fun it's given you!
Another possibility? Team up Fairy Box with Second Coin Toss
So, you've got a lucky coin right?
