I know that if I flip summon a sangan and my opponent plays solemn judgement I cannot search the monster, even if it was set on the field before, it is considered sent to the graveyard from the hand...so if I flip night assailant and its summon is negated, can I get a flip effect monster from the Graveyard?

I could be wrong, and it wouldnt be a first, but I don't really remember the secret "left, right, up, left, left" ruling that said the game erased the summon as being "officially ruled".

Of course not. No one here believes that Night Assailant was sent from hand to the Graveyard (I hope...), but if it would be possible, then it's worth discussing.

The first two rulings under Spell Absorption show how negate means erase.

In ordinary english, negate would be a declaration, rather than something physical. (to deny the existence of)

But this is an imaginary game where its declaration are its physical laws, so when its existence is denied, its existence ceases.

I see your point, but the second one doesnt really mean "erase" more than the fact that it didnt happen in the first place to get erased.

Your getting confused.

"it had not happened in the first place" once Magic Jammer resolves that is.

But read the first ruling again, the life points are increased before there's a chance to check for chaining.
Before Magic Jammer is even activated the life points are increased.

But once Magic Jammer Resolves, the life points were NOT increased before Magic Jammer was activated.
