We both have different views, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I just want you to understand that you can't flame a person just for spending a lot of money on a card.

There are MANY people who think that those who spend a lot of money on art are out of their mind.

actually i dont think people that spend big cash for art are out of their mind.

but for a card its different.

i dunno i guess your right.

Some people buy things specifically because others won't have it.  It makes them feel all warm and special.  Possibly bragging rights, or the ability to show off.  Maybe he's one of the many people absolutely frustrated at the inconsistency of what cards come out in english and what is only available in Japan and he happens to be rich enough he is going to have every card that comes our way.

Obviusly the one bidding on it wants it for collection(you have repeated this a lot).those kind of collectors are rich and capable of having every card.the guy who is selling it obviusly knows money is better than that card since its effect its good but pretty much useless since blue eyes ultimate dragon is yet to be released on english. If i was the one who won the tournament or the raffle i did sell it too with all that money i can buy more cards and make a better deck to win next year and get it again().or just use it for other things more important than trading cards.I would use half for more cards and other half for other things.

Man the one bidding on it is definitely crazy! :argh:

one of my most wanted promos that i cant wait on getting is "Shield crush".

so i guess i prolly would be right behind it bidding for it if it was a 1 of a kind kinda thing, but i would use it for play not for show off. :)

Plus if you think about it, if you decide to use it, wouldn't a Last Turn deck really benefit from it? Another way to get the LP Down, Summon Master of OZ, do something else that costs 2000 LP and then activate last turn picking your fusion as the monster to stay. Either OZ or Last Warrior would be excellent options if Jowgen is not available.

$6450 an seven days to go! I am an economist and price is established by supply and demand. Supply is very restricted and the demand is clearly high. Rare stamps can sell for mch higher prices yet what use value do they have? There are people out there with lots of money that they want to be the person who owns that card because it is expensive. The term for this was coined by Thorstein (how ironic he was a stein too!) Veblen in The Theory of the Leisure Class in 1899. Even Veblen, however, would never have imagined such excess!

Actually now it's $6,550. How about take a pool on how high we think this is going to go?

I'll make the first guess at 11,000.

How about closest WITHOUT GOING OVER?

Hmmm... now that you think about it Andrew, I think I'll up mine to 20,500.   :p

Cyber-Stein
Pay 5000 LP to Special Summon a Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck.
(ANY FUSION granted the fusion itself doesn't "nomi" the effort)

Japan strategy
Cyber-Stein --> Pay 5000 for BEUD --> Megamorph --> ATK for game.

USA Equivalent
Cyber-Stein --> Pay 5000 for OZ --> Megamorph --> ATK for game (if Wild Nature doesn't come before atk)

**********Feel free to post your guess on the final price of the Auction in the Auction Pool thread*****

Krazy: Don't think so, but if there is, the million dollars is divided among everyone, not just first place.

Also, to everyone else, current bid is US$7250

I changed my mind, why doesn't the person WAIT until the card becomes mass produced and then say "HEY! I've got the ONLY promo version of this card! who wants it?" wouldn't that be smarter? becuase then he would know for a fact he wouldn't need the card and also he could get another. or maybe he believes that no one would want it then which is probably going to be the case.
