OK Den just haven't really paid attention to the book enough to catch it. I did read the storyline but that's about it. LOL

And really, when you think about it, it's pretty easy to get DM out. You have Skilled Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl + Sage's Stone, then you can always dump and reborn him or tribute summon him. Keeping 3 out, however, can be a problem... (Which is where Non-Spellcasting Area comes in)

Normal monster cards are used, just not a whole lot or very few of them ever see play in competitive play. In other words, every set has these poor normal monsters that don't get any attention, except maybe for being incredibly crappy.
 
Some WATER decks focused on A Legendary Ocean use a good bit of Normal Monsters.

And often times, the Normal Monsters are among the better beatsticks in Limited/Sealed. Most recently Insect Knight, Mad Lobster/Jerry Beans Man.

And what XYZ deck would be complete without X-Head Cannon?

I understand what Judicator is saying; outside of these and a few other examples (plus the ones mentioned), Normal Monsters are pretty useless. I'd sacrifice a little ATK and/or DEF for an effect any day.

Yeah, if you could pull that off, get 3 DMs and then get your opponent with the Delta Attacker. Too bad it is for normal monsters only, then you could have a sweet and easy victory ;) I just hate that I can't use it on non-normal monsters. I spent an entire day building a deck around it and then read the normal monsters thing on it. But 3 DMs, that could be really sweet.

I dunno... That could be debated. All of Blue Eyes' cards except one require Blue Eyes to be in your hand, and the one is a Ritual Monster, which is hard enough on its own. Dark Magician is mostly from your deck or graveyard, and Skilled Dark Magician is just a regular 4-star that has 1900 ATK. In other words, he can hold his own for three spell cards. :p

Only thing I seem to disagree on is the notion that Pot of Greed will ever be banned. I personally don't get it. It's the only card in the game that lets you cycle through your deck with no cost to it. But that cycle is only two cards worth. It's not a game breaker. Not anymore than any other card in the game could be. Shoot, Dice Jar is more of a game breaker than Pot of Greed ever could be. Its just dangerous to misfire with it. But Pot of Greed? I don't see the logic in banning it. I don't see the logic in banning a lot of stuff people have been suggesting getting banned. But it shall remain to eb seen.


I Think they have banned Pot of Greed because it were in all the decks(ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL) like graceful.
If u look that way the player that draws graceful and pot in his first hand have a big advantage over the one that hasn't.
I think it's to take out some 'luck' to the varibles that definites a match. Now every deck has to choose 40 cards no 38.(Well, now all have Dark Hole, heavy, call and premature, but, nopot and graceful).
 
No, they banned pot cause people were getting too high :/ Seriously, pot was banned because it is the only cost free, restrictions free, guaranteed card advantage in the game. All of these three factors make it far to abusable. Magician of Faith, Pixie Knight, any card capable of recycling magics would suddenly become able to Recycle TWO cards, and the abuse continues. That is why it was banned.

Combine Branch with Centrifugal Field and you get BOTH fusion materials back to the field when the fusion is destroyed. Possibly still during Battle Phase like De-Fusion if a Fusion dies in battle. (Two Branches with Centrifugal Field would go crazy with XYZ. Just have Miracle Dig to put the pieces back into the graveyard.)

Also, since EEN is getting Special Edition... any speculations as to what the "reprints" would be? Or if they will actually be reprints?

Really? I hadn't heard about this. I thought we weren't getting our next Special Edition boxes til next year sometime.
 
EEN is by far one of the better sets we have had....beats CRV in a flash. But again more E-Hero support but that is fine. I can't wait to get my hands on an e hero shining flare just to have he looks so cool.
