Some Questions on Spiritual Fire Art

1. I tribute two of my opponent's monsters for Lava Golem. Spiritual Fire Art was set on my previous turn. Can I use Soul Exchange to tribute Lava Golem for Spiritual Fire Art's effect?

2. (Ignore this one if the answer to #1 is No.) Similarly, if I use Soul Exchange to tribute my opponent's Sacred Phoenix for Spiritual Fire Art's effect, Sacred Phoenix would not return from the graveyard, since my card effect did not destroy him, right?

3. A Lava Golem is in my graveyard. It was properly tribute summoned. Spiritual Fire Art was set on my previous turn. If I use Shallow Grave to bring back Lava Golem in face down defense, I can still tribute him for Spiritual Fire Art's effect, correct?

1) Yes. Although the text says "on your side of the field" I believe that phrase can be ignored because under normal circumstances thats the only place you can tribute from.

2) Yep, tributed, not destroyed.

3) Given that you can tribute face-down for DDV, I don't see why you can't tribute a face-down fire monster for Spiritual Fire Art

#1 I'm not sold on the answers given. Lava Golem is still leaving your opponent's side of the field. Wouldn't you (the activator of Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai) take the damage, and not your opponent as intended? Look at the final ruling (the Zolga ruling) for Soul Exchange.
When your opponent Tribute Summons with your "Zolga" using "Soul Exchange", the controller of "Zolga" increases his Life Points.
The controller of Zolga gains the Life Points. I believe this will work in the same way with Lava Golem.

#2 darkjason is correct... tributed, not destroyed.

#3 Yes, properly Special Summoned. I believe the answer here lies in the 2nd ruling for Lava Golem:
However, if Special Summoned correctly and then sent to the Graveyard, you can use "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon "Lava Golem" to your side of the field, but you (as the controller) will then take the 1000 damage during your Standby Phases.
Lava Golem can be revived from the Graveyard.

It says you opponant takes the damage. Enev eith the Zolga Scenario your opponant tributed it. Wiht this one Your tributeing it. (I type fast and I never took a class. Hope that explaines it.

Spiritual Fire Art clearly says that your opponent takes the damage. The only question here is whether or not Soul Exchange allows a Fire monster on the other side of the field to meet the activation requirements for Spiritual Fire Art. If it does, then my opponent takes the damage. If it doesn't, then I can't activate Spiritual Fire Art in the first place. Based on the ruling for Soul Exchange and Tribute Doll (which also explicitly says that you must tribute a monster on your side of the field), I think the answer is yes.

Yes, I know that a properly (special) summoned Lava Golem can be revived from the graveyard with Shallow Grave. The question was, can that face down Lava Golem be tributed for Spiritual Fire Art's effect. Based on the ruling for Soul Exchange and Mystik Wok, I think the answer here is also yes.

There is significant differences between Zolga and and Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai.

Zolga is going to increase the Life Points of the controller of Zolga.

Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai is going inflict damage to the opponent of the controller Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai. The tributed monster has nothing to do with who takes the damage. It's the controller of the Trap Card that determins who takes the damage

Soul Exchange is a replacement modifier. Keep in mind that tribtung Zolga is going to trigger his effect for the benefit of the controller of Zolga no matter why it gets tributed. Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai is going to benefit the controller of Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai no matter what monster is tributed.

If your hyperlinks work click on Tribute Doll and reread the Soul Exchance ruling

OK, card text for Tribute Doll: "Tribute 1 monster on your side of the field to activate this card. Special Summon 1 Level 7 monster that can be Normal Summoned from your hand. That monster cannot attack this turn." Ruling: "You can combine "Soul Exchange" with "Tribute Doll" to Tribute your opponent's monser as the cost of "Tribute Doll". What did I miss?

That "on your side of the field" is completely irrelevant, and thus that any card that says "tribute (whatever) on your side of the field" can be used with Soul Exchange.
Correct. As I mentioned, Soul Exchange is a replacement modifier. It's whole purpos is to glean the benefits of tributing with your opponent's monsters instead of your.

By default, when a card asks for you to tribute something your going to have to tribute a monster from your side of the field. The fact that some cards specificaly say "your side of the field" doesn't make them inelegilve cannidates for Soul Exchange. Only if they are specificaly required to tribute themselves are thay ineligable for Soul Exchange's effect. In any other case, Soul Exchange is replacing the whole process with something else.

To let this rest 'forever': Soul Exchange Shifts control of the opponent's monster to you.
Just a quick note to clarify it up.

About the questions:
1) Yes you can. The monster is under your control. Nothing that further prevents you from tributing it (except if there are Royal Decree's or Seven Tools of the Bandit Negating it :p)
2) Nothing to add further
3) You can. Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai doesn't prevent face-down monsters from being tributed
