Personally, I'm drooling with anticipation for the 3 new Dark World Monsters, and 2 of the Spells - the Dark World support that lets you draw then discard, and the Continuous Spell that lets you shuffle a card back to your deck and then draw. Discuss.

Hey, wow, Ritual Monsters. Haven't had some of those for a while.

I'm liking the look of Genetic Warwolf and Frost Saurus. It seems Dinos are just gaining power all over the place now (and about time too!).

Ancient Rule looks like a good card there. Normal Monsters are really going to make a comeback. Advanced Ritual Technique also looks good in that vein (that is, with the Ritual Monsters in this set).

Not a bad-looking set, really (although compared to CDIP it's not hard).

I am looking forward to Rain, Deal of DW and Tatami Return (Anti-Monarch :D ). I am glad to see some support going to other places, even if we get yet another warrior sub-class.

Uh-oh...Twister looks an awful lot like a neutered MST...does this mean Mystical is going to go the way of Pot?

This set is a MAJOR improvement over Cyberdark Impact (which, incidentlly, kinda made me want to mutilate myself), what with the Six Warmasters, and...stuff. Okay, so the Warmasters and Normal Monster support make up most of the good cards in Strike of Neos...but still, that's about 10 cards more than most of the more recent sets boast. The random Dark World support is nice, though I think the King is pretty bad (why, oh why, can't he be special summoned by your own discard...the humanity!). I hope rituals (and by rituals, I mean Zorc and Relinquished) take off...but ditching NORMAL monsters means you have to put NORMAL monsters in your deck...ew...

Why does everyone think that a card that can ONLY destroys face-up Spell or Traps, is going to send MST to the Ban List???

Take a count of how many Spell and Traps are actually face-up now a days, and see if this card is worth the "buzz" its generating.

STON-JP033
Enlightened Warrior Cuchulainn
Light/Warrior-Ritual/4/500/1000
Descend by [Confirmation of Enlightenment]. Remove a Normal monster in your Graveyard from the game. Until the Standby
Phase of your next turn, increase this card's attack strength by the attack strength of the Normal monster removed from
game by this effect. This effect can only be used once per turn.

Wow. Irish influence kicks ass.

I love ancient rule. Advanced ritual technique is very very handy. sniper of night fog kicks ass too. I call chimeratech overdragon mwahahahaha. Tatami return also helps neuter the monarchs as well. Yippeeee. Some nice cards in this one.

Im kind of liking the D.D. Crow. I could chain to the activation of effects from Premature to Treeborn to Goldd and remove their monster. This is a pretty good option for me, who loves the rfp effects. Not to mention, it doesnt specify discarding to the Graveyard, so even if I have a Banisher/Macro Cosmos/D. Fissure out, I will get the effect.

Crow would be spell speed 1, wouldn't he? No chaining.....:crying

DJP you know it kicks ass. Think a blue eyes deck. Now think non-spellcasting area. Oh yeah sweetness. Especially if ya think delta attacker too.

It could also help my fiend deck as I use summoned skulls in it. Special summon a skull then trib for great maju garzett. Oh yeah sweetness.

STON-JP024
D.D. Crow
Dark/Bird/1/100/100
Discard this card from hand. Remove a card from opponent's Graveyard from the game. This effect can also be activate
during opponent's turn.

Rare

Im going off of a hunch here, but the 2nd sentence there makes me believe that it acts very similarly to Kuriboh or other spell speed 2, multi-trigger effect. That's why I thought it could be chained to the activation of an effect like Treeborn Frog.

Oh, and yes, Ancient Rule is sweet! How is that fair though, to be allowing a one card effect to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon that easily?? Makes me want to go collect a bunch of Inferno Fireblast and Red Eyes Black Dragons. I can imagine what it does for someone who is fond of the Dark Magician. ;)

Enlightened Warrior Cuchulainn

Abuse that card with THIS

STON-JP045
Advanced Ritual Technique
Magic - Ritual
Choose a Ritual monster from your hand, choose Normal monster(s) from your deck to the same level as that card. Special
Summon the chosen Ritual monster.

You pay BY DECK?! And the the fact that Cuchulainn gets boosted by Normal monsters in the graveyard... that's one SICK COMBO! I mean, summon Manju, activate that, get Cuchulainn WITH Manju still on the field by dumping Genetic Warwolf from deck to the grave (It have to be same level, or else I'll be dumping BEWD) Remove Warwolf to bump Cuchulainn to 2500ATK... WTF man!

With Justi-break and all of these normal monster abuse, Normal monsters can get REALLY scary. I'll be glad to special summon Frost Saurus with Ancient Rule.

And yeah, I like the sound of D.D. Crow. The ultimate anti-Treeborn Frog man!

Here's my question about D.D. Crow. Can you counter this with Dark World? Like say they discard 1 Goldd with Graceful Charity, can you CHAIN that with D.D. Crow to remove from play Goldd after it hits the graveyard so it won't be special summoned (Along with negating the rest of the effect?) If that's the case, I'm SOOOO sidedecking that crow.

The translatoin for Advanced Ritual Technique seems to be missing something... probably to send the normal monsters to the graveyard or something. I'm thinking of that more in a Demise deck.

As for D.D. Crow, yes it's multi-trigger so you can use it's effect to remove a Dark World monster that was discarded by effect and if it's one that's supposed to hit the field like Goldd, Sillva, Beiige, or Rain, then it won't hit the field at all (and any other effect it may have had going for it would be gone too).

this set is by far the best one in a while to me at least and there is so much stuff in it that i want to run in different decks

Yeah, you send Normal monsters from your deck to the graveyard, like I said. But that's still just sick as it's the same theory as Future Fusion, absolutely NO COST. And the fact that Cuchulainn thrives with Normal Monsters in the graveyard makes it even MORE abusive.

Oh man, I'm SOOOO gunna put that D.D. Crow in my sidedeck IMMEDIATELY when I get it. Not just for anti-Dark World, the fact that it's Anti-Treeborn is good enough. (everyone and their grandma is running that frog) And no Filp Monster/Night Ass loop with Graceful Charity either.

Hmmm- quite some ideas:

sasuki samurai #3 with Neospacians air hummingbird: combo life gain/deckout.

Neospacians ground mole with ultimate offering: effect reads- for a cost of 500 LP send an opponents monster back to their hand...you can use this every turn.

Saint of silence + ojama trio = imperial order

Fusionist killer is nice for anti metamorphosis decks, but sadly fusions arent really played much outside morph, and even then not much.

Electric worm is very nice! discard from hand to take control of your opponents cyber dragon for the turn.

I can see puppet plant/puppet insect/elctric worms decks coming along: new form of control: run 3x brain control/3 enemy controllers along with these....

Ancient rule: cosmo queen/bewd anyone? especially BEWD!
I think that there are some quite interesting cards here, especially for combos and off the wall decks.

ritual foregone, relinquished...neospacian dark panther...im sure there are plenty more....panther,instant fusion , cyber end , gatling dragon... gotta be lots of ideas....
