DaGuy is correct... West Side Story was a musical. That's what the 'Maria' and 'No sharks, please' and 'Go West' clues were hinting at. So if you know your West Side Story, if it's not sharks it must be...

(Remember: Ask a jet and I'm sure he'll tell you it doesn't take super strength)

NOW, after much reading.... I have discovered that Maria tells white Tony of the "Jets", to act as a peace maker instead of going to the rumble against the "Sharks"to FIGHT.... so I am going to have to NOW GUESS

hmmm.... well West Side is a spin off of Romeo and Juliet.... lets see... a volunteer from the audience...... a good trick... well making someone dissappear then reappear is a good trick... so is breaking their watch..hahhaha.... but since Maria is the Juliet of this story, then maybe its not a solution pertaining to the sharks you are talking about but to the whole rivalry between the two clans.. / families.... if i remember correctly they were to die together... poison...hmmm

oh hey ... didnt see that hint.... see right through it.... hmmm... well to see right through something it just takes logic or Reasoning to do so... Reasoning can use a volunteer from the audience, as in your opponent, and they guess a number... then a monster appears.... Plus, I think that maybe Maria might have wanted Tony and the Jets to find a way to Reason with the Sharks.... so I think this will be my final answer .... cuz my guesses are about exhausted
