Ah! I think I know it! Probably Dark Scorpion Burglars!

The volunteer of the audience is probably in this case the opponent who gets the damage.

'No sharks' = no cards that can kill the Dark Scorpion Burglars

Clue #2-#5: points to the West Side story. If I remember it right, both families were (slightly) criminal. Just like the Burglars ;)

The blast is the magic card that is send to the Graveyard

The trick is 'stealing' the magic card. And to steal the hand must be faster then the eye ;) Also, the first part points back to the Spell-card.

Clearly, no matter what the trick is you will see right through it.

Nope Jason... it's not my favorite card. And Benjamin, it's more clear than that. So clear, you can literally see through it.

EDIT: In fact, little kids can probably see it with the wave of a wand.
 
So may we assume that it is a trap card because of its relation to Jetroid?

Also, may we assume that it has some corralation to music since some of your clues have been music related?

And then there's that thing about the wave of the wand. Hmm"¦
 
Sorry for the long delay folks. None of the above answers are correct. But Jetroid and Makyura are the closest. That should just about give it away...
