YGO Card Name Game

Now we get another round from DarkLogician, who rivals even myself in terms of randomness and obscurity.

Thank you Maruno. That's quite a compliment! And that was quite a Riddle. You know I could come back at around 9pm, when it seems everyone congregates, then more guesses, faster round, new record.....

I know I promised a poem, but I'm attempting to round it out some more, (only have two stanzas and not nearly enough references to history). So for now, another attempt to eschew obfuscation. Let's see how well everyone has been paying attention. This obscure clue could go rather quickly. Ready?

Beelze Frog he is not, for he is no frog, nor does he have wings. Yet, there is no doubt, he is Lord of the flies.

Hint: Not a reference to the book, not a reference to Satan or any Dark Beast. This is another Hebrew/Greek riddle. "flies" is a euphamism, find out for what, when you do, you should come up with the answer, but not in English. Sorry- I know, this clue is rubbish, isn't it?

More hints to come....Unless you KNOW, guessing card names might not help, yet. Work the clue.

Flies... Zip? Trousers? Jeans, which would refer to genes (which probably comes from Greek). Something genetic. I'd say either a Fusion Monster or perhaps Humanoid Slime.

Perhaps foreign languages should be forbidden (and by that I mean non-English ones).

Flies fly. A fly with no wings is called a walk, but that's not important here (probably). Flies without wings. What's Greek for bird? Pouli. Pretty Polly. Parrot Dragon, although he does have wings.

Not a frog, doesn't have wings. It's outside the frog group, so ex-frog.

Ah, wait. Dragons fly, they all do, even if they don't have wings. They're like Air Serpent-Type monsters. We're looking for the Lord of Dragons. Lord of D.?

Yeah, I don't know. There's seriously nothing to go on here, particularly when it involves a foreign language. There's just nowhere to start from. This thread needs more hints.

Nope, sorry.

Normally, I would agree about tha language thing Maruno, But Kanomi was the one who put it in another language, and not a common one either. In fact, if it wasn't for another Lord, we wouldn't even know 50% of the words we do know fromthis language.

Sorry about the apparent lack of detail, but my hint tells you that the "flies" clue is rubbish. Let me see if I can clear it up some more....

"Flies" is not a synonym nor slang for something, but an indicator of something, therefore, can represent it for polite people. The card i am looking for is the master of these.

So it's not "fly" meaning "hip" or "groovy" or such.

I think barty's on to something here. The Lord of the Ring contains a load of Elvish.

Wait... Musician King?

flies in your face.... hebrew... sort of meant Slap you in your face... so who could be the lord of slapping you in the face?? well BLS-Envoy was the ultimate slap in the face for some time.. hmmm... i dont think thats the right direction though

also.. flies... maybe flying as in HIGH... a polite person would say that someone who is high .... "Man he is flying " know what i mean... but what kind of cards do we have that have anything to do with drugs?? (Pot of Greed, Avatar of The Pot)

So basically I am still trying to research and figure out the correct angle here.... but for now
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
Pot of Greed
Avatar of The Pot

I don't know Jack, but I do know Jack's Knight.

Flies, and foreign language. Well, you get lots of flies in tropical climates, in countries that tend to speak other languages. I mean of course in Forests.

Perhaps this isn't a proper language he's talking about here. I know a lot of people don't understand l33t. Mind Haxorz? Okay, it may not have anything to do with the rest of the clues, but it's still a guess.

On a serious guessing note, Beelze Frog and "Lord of the Flies" tells me of Beelzebub. Wikipedia tells me that name might be a corruption of Ba'al Zebul ("Lord of the High Place"). High place? The Sanctuary in the Sky. It certainly does look like a Greek temple.

Or, perhaps you mean quite literally "Lord of the Flies". Flies are insects, so we're looking for a kick-bottom Insect. Ultimate Insect LV7, Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, Doom Dozer, Insect Knight, Insect Queen?

I think this is important, but I don't know how. Is this other Lord a Yu-Gi-Oh! card, or from somewhere else in the world?

You're getting warmer.......

Maruno, either you are really good at these, or on some psychotic level we think alike!

Not that Jack. This Jack is not a card. This Jack can help you with the Language.

I'll give you that much, again, to help with the language barrier, but from that point on you were Lost.

Not High Place. What else did Wikipedia say it might be?
