Not true....when you said it was a clue to a clue..then mentioned Birmingham, I asked if it was Birmingham of the UK, US, or the ships HMS, or USS. Then I offered up stop...... "in the name of," "Thief", "making sense", etc. I would presume that none of these are the answer to the clue of the clue. If it were a straightforward clue to a card, I would say
Mask of Restrict or Spellbinding Circle.
 
No no, the Birmingham stuff wasn't a clue. It wasn't in italics. That should be a general rule or something... If I haven't put something in italics, unless specifically mentioned otherwise it won't be a clue (as such; saying who's close and who isn't doesn't really count). I just got carried away with some metaphor or whateveryoucallit.

And I did say those were the only card guesses you made. Not thought process guesses. You never asked me about those / I never commented on those. Well...

The correct answer still hasn't popped up yet.

"Stop..." refers to "Stop in the Name of Love", a song sung by Diana Ross. Another famous Diana was of course Diana, Princess of Wales. This points to Princess. And the only Princess card in the game that mimics the good nature of Diana is Princess Pikeru (the only one that heals).

Not too difficult, really. I'm surprised no one mentioned "Hammertime", really, before immediately guessing all the cards that include "Hammer" or "Mallet" in their name.

That was my attempt at the shortest clue in this game. Seven characters, one 4-letter word. I doubt anyone can beat that.

Because 'progression' could possibly be multiplication.

Otherwise... it could be power-ups... like Exodia Necross or Axe of Despair. Heck, maybe even Luminous Soldier or Penumbral Soldier Lady...
