YGO Card Name Game

the inconspicuous flipside...

well the flipside is the opposite, and inconspicuous is similar to things like camoflauged or hidden or on the D.L. ..

so the inconspicuous flipside would be like saying it is something obvious, high profile, out in the open... Perhaps something that has just been revealed to be out in the open like shrink or a card that is UBER popular... like Cyber Dragon

am I on the right track here?
Somewhat. But "inconspicuous" and "flip side" aren't a double negative here. They reinforce each other.

Well, i'm backing off of the Elf thingy but still think it could be that since there's an anime cartoon called The Flipside.

Hmmm, inconspicuous (HIDDEN)... and flipside (TRAP), this would be too obvious... but I'll try it...

Didn't know that. Interesting. And that's ironic, actually, as you may discover when the answer is guessed.

Too obvious, too wrong. As is everyone else.

Ok, here's another try... way off most likely:

Inconspicuous almost rhymes with Incubus, i.e. Harpie... this one hurts flip effect monsters:

Harpie Lady 2

inconspicuous + Thesaurus =hidden
flip side = underneath the surface
direct hint = attacks directly
No, honestly, I meant it when I said there was no deeper meaning to that clue. Unless you want to try to misinterpret this one as well:

It's an Effect Monster.

Go on, what could that mean to you?

Seems someone's getting the right idea, though. I won't name names, but he posted quite recently.
