High Tide Gyojin

Heh, now I get it, the Moon creates the tides, twice a day. Phew! I win! Thanks for leading us there LordLight2!
Well, exactly. Told you it was straightforward. A high tide occurs every 12 hours, as did "yep" in the clue. I said the clue could go on for a couple of billion years, because that's how long the Earth, Moon and oceans have existed (I think about 3 billion years).

Great clue! And thanks again to LordLight2 (and to you too Maruno for helping us along)... ok... here's mine... hopefully this will be much easier than the last one I did:

it was Fabled that he inscribed this saying: one Sword to rule them all, one Sword to find them, one Sword to bring them all,
and in the darkness bind them

Immediately I think Lord of the Rings, magic forged the One Ring, but it's a sword instead... Merlin, the guy behind Excalibur.

The A. Forces?
Armed Samurai - Ben Kei?

Well, I'll say the obvious ones to get them out of the way...

Divine Sword - Phoenix Blade
Fusion Sword Murasame Blade
Performance of Sword

Not yet... again, I don't see how a Sword could inscribe anything. But, the Sword could be helpful in figuring out who was Fabled to have inscribed it.

Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu

Ding! Ding! Yep. So this was very simple... good thing since my wife is having contractions and I may be AWOL for awhile ;)

Anyhow, here's why:

it was Fabled that he inscribed this saying: one Sword to rule them all, one Sword to find them, one Sword to bring them all,
and in the darkness bind them

Fabled and Sword are the only words capitalized. A fabled sword could be also called Legendary Sword.

Who made Legendary Sword? Look at Kotetsu's picture. Obviously, Maruno was on that track but I didn't let him know... :(

Also, Kotetsu is the name (he changed it to that) of a famed real-life Japanese swordmaker. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagasone_Kotetsu

Lastly, Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu is one of my favorites since I like to use Equip Cards and he helps me pull them back from the graveyard.

Oceanus, you're up!

I really hope that there's a Lord of the Rings tie in here somewhere.

Well, the Elves made the Rings of Power with the aid of Sauron. An Elven sword? The only one that comes to mind is Narsil, (which means Shining Silver Fire, or a reference to the Sun and moon) a.k.a. Andúril (something like Western Flame).

Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman?
Black Lustre Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning?

Or, Celebrimbor made the Elven rings. Celebrimbor = Silver Fist. Roboyarou?

EDIT: Stupid me, spent too much time flipping through the Silmarillion.

hehe... yep that happens... ooh some good thoughts... you made it through the Silmarillion?!?!? I got so confused by the first chapter... I put it down... about 25 years ago.

And so he turned back, after taking a staunt blow. He will not forget one so integral, and now he regrets, for one does not value that which they have, until it is no more. His bow in hand, he vows revenge for his fallen ally. He believes he is to blame, that he should have been the one to fall for his mistake, and now it is too late... And so he turned back, returning to his lord's keep in vain, with the loss of a hero heavy on his heart. One must live, and one must die. This clue honors the memory of his fallen aegis.

No, Jathro. Thanks for attempting, everyone else seems to have been evading =P. I must have written too much again.

Well, he doesn't have a bow, but how about...

Marauding Captain
Gagagigo

(I was thinking of the picture from My Body as a Shield)

okay....maybe a monster that returns to the hand after damage calculation....possibly one that destroys cards on the field or the hand after damage calculation and then returns to the hand....I'll guess

Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi
