YGO Card Name Game

I don't think that was a clue. Myself, Maruno, and others have gotten in the habit of using italics to identify a clue.

It could also be interpreted as "half a day, okay" but I'm not sure.
I think Maruno may be referring to hours possibly worked or what is sometimes known as a.....

And the question is: "Pick a number. Any number." Thank Marvin for letting us know.

Is that a clue?
Certainly not. As Jathro said, all my clues are in italics.

Well done. Twelve hours is half a day. Doesn't add anything to the understanding, though, I'm afraid.

Once again it seems people aren't reading the whole clue. I've mentioned very clearly before that there are three words per line, and you're all hung up on two of them. Would you like me to post even more lines of the clue in the hope that you'll actually realise what it's saying? Seriously, the clue could go on for a long long time. A couple of billion years worth, at least. I just don't want to write it out that much.

I promise you, this clue leads directly to the answer. There's nothing cryptic here. You just need to decide what the clue is referring to.

Red-Moon Baby

Sedna is a red moon, twelve light-hours from Earth. Austin Powers' Yeah Baby! = yep

Nice thinking! But wrong, I'm afraid. You're only assuming one line, but I did say there could be a couple of billion years' worth of lines (to be technically correct). Each and every one of those lines would be Twelve hours. Yep. It's important.

Go think about it some more, check out some other lines of thought, and let me know what you come up with.

I suppose you could also write the clue as:

Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep. Twelve hours. Yep.

...ad infinitum. Maybe that would help?

Simple statement interupted by a punctual mark. Simple statement following. Interupted or contracted thoughts. Hmmm...Maybe referring to time ad infinatum.

Goes on and on, Twelve hours = a good rest, yep = repeat, keeps going.
The right reasoning is in there, but you came to the wrong conclusion. Now your'e neglecting the "twelve hours" bit. I chose 12 hours specifically instead of any other time period.

I promise, you're going to kick yourselves when someone gets the answer. It's blatantly obvious (because it's not cryptic).

I'd be willing to bet 2 clock counters that Soilent G is right on with that guess. Not sure about the "yep" part though. Just in case, I'll go with... ah, I got nothing. Nicely done.

12 hours might imply 1200 points damage...
It really doesn't. It's 12 hours. A period of time. It's that straightforward.

Pay up. You lose. It was wrong, entirely so.

Try reading the clue out loud. What would the "yep"s imply to you? Where are they?

<hands over 2 Clock Counters> No Battle Damage can be inflicted against Maruno for the remainder of this thread.

Skull Dog Marron

Skull Dog Marron is a Normal Monster Card, so it at least has something in common with the right answer.

That's right, the answer to this clue is a Normal Monster Card. Start there, if nowhere else (although starting with the clue would be a bonus).

Yep. Kinda sounds like Yip. (something a dog might do) And 12 hours could refer to the moon. It comes up every 12 hours (or so depending on where you are) Silver Fang?

Nothing to do with dogs, but you're very close.

The "yep" at the end of each line implied "every 12 hours", since it appears at the end of every line without fail. That is, something that happens every 12 hours. Reading it aloud would make it sound like a checklist, so that "twelve hours pass. Event happens, check. Twelve hours pass, event happens, check", etc.

One more tiny little step now, and you'll get to the answer. In fact, one sentence can entirely explain how the clue relates to the answer. I'll let you know what that sentence is (ish) once you guess it.
