YGO Card Name Game

Let's conjecture!

Des Volstgalph, as I recall, came from a reference to a film called "Chicken Kiev". We're encouraged to pay attention to this way of thinking. So let's.

"Me, Myself and Irene" was a film released in 2000 starring Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger. But I don't think that's quite right.

"Me, Myself and I" was the most recent film to be made with that title. It's an Australian film lasting all of 3 minutes. It could count. Now, taking "Australian" and "upside-down and backwards" into account...

Des Koala
Kangaroo Champ (to a lesser extent)

Like I said... way cold.

Things are actually a lot more literal than you might think. Afterall, the part that everyone has seemed to overlook is hidden clue in the original one. You were told how to find it as well. I just twisted things around as to not be completely obvious. :)

hmm this is my first time doing something like this but ill take a stab.

He used the word re a few times so i narrowed my search down.
He said spell it out for us so im guessing its a spell

I might as well guess second coin toss as it fits those two and coins kinda flip and twist in air

Literal in the sense that "No, it's not a Spell Card." (well it could be, the hint wasn't referring to that, but no, it's not a Spell Card.)

Literal in the sense that "Yes, I did spell it out for you!" (at least if you find the hidden clue that explains how to decode the way I spelled it out so it's in English and not gibberish).

And if that doesn't give it away, short of saying "the answer is...", nothing else will.

No. No.

I'm beginning to think no one will get it.
So I will spell it out as best as I can.
This is done exactly like the other two you see.
So with "Des Volstgalph and this, you might go far.
Because if this was the clue, the answer would be "Trent".

Look up and you'll see why.

*applause* (took long enough).

The trick was if you took the original clue and re-wrote it "Upside down and backwards" each line would have started (and I'll just do the last word for space)

Deedni (indeed)
Eulc (clue)
Sdrawkcab (backwards)

Viek (Kiev - there's not many words that end in "V" you know)
Ot (to)
Laiceps (special)
Suoivbo (obvious)
Tcerroc (correct)
Gnid (ding)
Adoocal (Lacooda)
Looc (cool)
Pleh (help)
Hguor (rough).

It's why I kept repeating "I literally spelled it out for you." "Trent" was a easy version to see and seeing as you now know how to decode it, yes, that left Otohime as for what you needed to guess. Very good, you're on the clock Soilent.
