YGO Card Name Game

I was thinking Reprise since it is Frank himself that started it. But that is my exact line of thinking. It was in fact the Blue Eyes White Dragon. Kingpinopie, it's your turn.

I've been wondering, you expected us to guess "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" based on the word, Reprise? Did you expected us to relize the Vegas group, that was named rats, and connect them to blue-eyes based on that?

I don't know about everyone playing, but I can't even begin to get a hint of something similar of any part of blue-eyes that connects itself to reprise. Your clue wasn't exactly a clue to the card you were thinking of, instead it was a clue to another clue, which you gave after we all wildly got no where near the answer based on a supreme lack of information.

I kind of feel that if we should play this game, that the clue actually be a clue, and hints be added as time goes on, not just more parts of a single clue released every so many posts.

Just something to think about.

Im not quite sure... but it seems you are lost... let me explain..

Reprise was started by a man named Frank Sinatra. He was also known as, nicknamed, had the monacre of "Old Blue Eyes"..... He was a BIG NAME in LAS VEGAS and was part of a entertaining group named the RAT PACK >>>

so out of the 3 clues, I was able to be directed toward the correct answer,,,, now I DO have to admit that I was totally lost till I saw the word VEGAS.... then it seemed to click....

as for your guesses.... SORRY, Not correct.....

That's nice to know, but don't you understand? We surely can't be expected to get all that out of the clue, Reprise, which is how the game works. You give a clue, you guess towards the answer, and if it really isn't clear enough, you add hints to make it clearer.

I'm saying, that I think it's not fair play to expect such an answer from such a vague clue, not a single answer to it came anywhere near to scratching the surface of the answer... the more of the clue he added, the more of it we got.

LordLight2, don't take this as your fault, I've seen the same in many of our clues. I think a rule should be added.

You can't expect all of the information up front... what fun would that be. The first clue is generally a little vague, the second clue gets you on track, and each clue after that guides you closer to the correct answer. If the first clue told us everything we need to know, there would be no point in additional clues, and everyone would be guessing the answer within the first few posts, slowing the game down. Eventually we'd run out of cards.

So you don't mind us making fools out of ourselves by guessing to the first clues with answers that aren't actually related at the expense of the writer =P?

Run out of cards, yes, there's about 2,400 or so I guess. Hold on though, run out of clues though? Doubtful. We don't have to use a different card everytime, because clues can be expressed in so many different ways, as we've shown throughout our game. We may have even had a duplicate clue regarding the same card someone had discussed earlier, and yet it might have been even more challenging.

What do you think?

"Heart of Clear Water"?
"Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys"?
"Sonic Shooter"?

" After 13 times again...
U take a shot to see if I'll give in...
you mess with me till my face turns red...
I pull the trigger now you're dead. "

Looks like a Trigger- or Ignition-like effect that destroys cards, and depends on luck.

Timeater?
Time Wizard?
Sasuke Samurai #4?

hmmm... all answers are off... I will wait a bit to give you another clue cuz if I gave you a hint based on whats in my my head right now it would be like tying a bow around the answer and giving it away....

So far Entropy is on the right track... but I am afraid you will have to think a bit creatively (not like the last several riddles though) in order to get this one....

I think I can understand you trail of thinking there. A bit off the wrong way Im afraid. Maybe time for a new hint to get a few more people thinking a bit more similar.... ( is that grammatically correct? hahahha)

" It's not in the eye of the holder that you see the color of my eyes"

Maybe this will bring you a bit closer to the answer.

I do apologize for the last riddle. I had seen a lot of different people pull clues from a variety of different sources. Anime, manga, comics, song lyrics, etc. And to me, it seems that they are putting a little of themselves into the clue since they are pulling from something that they know about. Now I admit, if the source is a little TOO obscure, then it becomes difficult. But I think we have all stayed to something at least semi-known. (I figured everybody had heard of Frank Sinatra and the Infamous Rat Pack, especially since the next clue was going to be "Frank") God, am I showing my age?? So the next time I'm up, the clue won't be quite as obscure, but then again it won't be exactly easy either"¦unless you're a kid from the 80's"¦

And Jathro, I agree with you. It's more fun when the first clue is vague. Again, if I upset anyone, I do apologize"¦ Ok, moving on"¦

Skull Archfiend of Lightning?

Dark Master "“ Zorc?

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, as the saying goes. But trying to make the connection between that and the first clue is proving to be a difficult task. Hmmm.. You can catch bees with a net. Or honey. Beauty? Honey?

I don't really have a guess right now... just thinking out loud.

Oh Jathro, ever the analyst. ... I know how the saying goes... lol.... Pay special attention to the hint... its written in a familiar way, but it is indeed written this way for a reason... lol....

Oh, and the guesses are OFF......

" I hate to give this away, but if you know what a homophone is, the 2nd hint of this riddle will become more clear"

OK....with the homophone hint.....I think the 'I's have it......

And I think it might be Tribe infecting Virus.

Or big eye. Maybe, just maybe. I hate making 2 guesses in one post though. So I sure hope it is tribe or neither.

hmmm... Im afraid you guys need a hint that is a bit more obvious...

" I am the holder of the spear, so I take a bow...
now we fight, and after 13 times I will defeat you and bow again...
As I approach this gateway, I am afraid that I will be met by a gun on the other side..... It strikes fear in me as it is one of my weaknesses ... this gun..... "

Ok ya'll... this is a giveaway if you look at it the right way.. so be creative and then refer back to that 2nd hint, as it is a key ...... and it will definitely tie things together... hehehe... good luck!

(Oh BTW, all wrong)

I'm guessing that it can be hit by Barrel Behind the Door, but that doesn't give me anything. Unless it is Barrel Behind the Door?

Or, by a stretch, Chthonian Blast or Winged Kuriboh LV10?
