Card #: MFC-047/DR1-EN102 Card Name: Physical Double Card Type: Trap Is Continuous: No Is Counter: No Text: You can only activate this card during your opponent's turn. Select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field and Special Summon 1 "Mirage Token" in face-up Attack or Defense Position on your side of the field. The "Mirage Token" has the same Level, Type, Attribute, ATK, and DEF as the selected monster. Destroy the "Mirage Token" at the end of the turn. Rulings: You cannot activate "Physical Double" during the Damage Step. If you activate "Physical Double" and your opponent chains "Ring of Destruction" to destroy his targeted monster, the effect of "Physical Double" disappears. You can target a Monster...
The Dark Door LON-EN093 DB2-EN026 Text Both players can only attack with 1 monster during their respective Battle Phases. Rulings A single monster may still attack more than once while this card is on the field, such as "Hayabusa Knight", "Asura Priest", "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning", a monster equipped with "Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce" or a Spellcaster-Type Monster affected by "Diffusion Wave-Motion". If the effect of "Weather Report" is used to gain an additional Battle Phase, one monster may attack once each Battle Phase [Re: Amazoness Archers] Monsters that have already attacked cannot attack again. If "The Dark Door" is active, your opponent still can only attack with 1 monster...
Well, I was always planning to do this card rating so I'll do it, even if the result is a bit disappointing.. Well, first, let's see the stats. Victory Viper XX03 Machine/LIGHT/ level 4 1200ATK/1000DEF When this card destroys an opponent's monster as a result of battle, select and activate 1 of the following effects: ●Increase the ATK of this card by 400 points. ●Destroy 1 face-up Spell or Trap Card on the field. ●Special Summon 1 "Option Token" to your side of the field. It always has the same Type, Attribute, Level, ATK and DEF as this card. ----------------- The stats being small 1200ATK and 1000DEF is kinda crap. But of course, it's usually the effects that we care about. Now, this card have 3 effects, or to be...
Now the obvious, intended use of this card is for monsters that get benefits from having other copies of themselves in the graveyard. e.g. Chain Thrasher, Disciple of the Forbidden Spell, Divine Dragon - Excelion etc There are other uses of course 1. T.A.D.P.O.L.E. -having copies of this will help with Des Frog decks. 2. King of the Skull Servants -helps boost the attack 3. tribute fodder -any special summon by removing X attribute/type monsters from the graveyard will be benefitted by this 4. deck thinning -ok, you lose a card on the field but you do thin by one card. 5. 'used up flip monsters'- if you flip up Magician of Faith, then realise that you have a hugely vulnerable 300 attack in attack position, use Generation Shift...
Exodia Necross (DARK/Spellcaster/4/1800/0) This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Contract with Exodia". This card is not destroyed as a result of battle or by the effects of Spell or Trap Cards, and during each of your Standby Phases, increase the ATK of this card by 500 points. This card is destroyed when any of "Exodia the Forbidden One", "Right Arm of the Forbidden One", "Left Arm of the Forbidden One", "Right Leg of the Forbidden One" or "Left Leg of the Forbidden One" is not in your Graveyard. Rulings "Exodia Necross" cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, and cannot be Special Summoned EXCEPT by the effect of "Contract with Exodia". So "Exodia...
Come on, it was a matter of time before someone rated this card. It's rare to get a card that you can pretty much create a whole donzens of themes around 1 freaking card. Seriously, this card have so much "potential" that the one who rules this card is literally like ruling their own destiny and pulling Deus Ex Machina power to your foe. Anyway, lets see it's stuff. Destiny Hero Diamond Dude Dark / Warrior / level 4 1400ATK / 1600 DEF Not that bad. A good start. Being 1400ATK means it's searchable by Sangan. Being Dark is being supported by the biggest support group of all. It can be search by Tomatos and can support Chaos Sorcerer and Strike Ninja. (All having impact on CC decks) Being Warrior and level 4 means it have access...
Unlike my "other" topics. This isn't "rating" topic. (I can't rate it yet. Too many "unknowns") This is a discussion topic about these two cards. I mean, it's a kickass effect I agree, and definately opens up a new deck theme, but IS it meta material? I mean, we still don't see a Dark World Deck hitting the top 8 of Shonen Jump Championship yet. At most, people just splash a random Goldd. (Goldd, might be meta material, but the overall Dark World theme isn't just yet) It's a good card, but the concept still isn't "top tier" yet. And don't get me wrong. These cards makes Return from the Different Dimension literally broken as crap. (It's like Bazoo + Chaos + Strike Ninja on crack field) So I know it's "good". But then we also said...
Hello again. Yes, me again and another card rating. And I'm gunna rate 1 of the 2 cards I want the freaking most out of this whole Enemy of Justice. This card is a HUGE STEP of machine AND fire support. And especially Fire monsters have been denied of a good effect. Let's read it's effect. ------ Cyber Phoenix Fire/Machine/4/1200/1600 While this card is in face-up Attack Position, negate the effects of any Spell or Trap Card that targets 1 Machine-Type monster on your side of the field. When this face-up card attacks or becomes attacked, if it is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can draw 1 card. ----------------- First, let's see it's stats. It's 1200ATK and 1600DEF... not that...
Bountiful Artemis Effect Monster (Fairy / LIGHT / 4 Stars / ATK 1600 / DEF 1700)While this card is face-up on the field, draw 1 card from your Deck each time a Counter Trap Card is activated. "¢ The effect of "Bountiful Artemis" is a Continuous Effect, and cannot be chained to. You will draw 1 card immediately after a Counter Trap's effects have resolved. "¢ Your "Bountiful Artemis's" effect will activate even if your opponent is the one who activated the Counter Trap. "¢ If "Seven Tools of the Bandit" is used to negate the activation of another Trap Card, such as "Magic Jammer", you will not draw a card for "Magic Jammer" since its activation was negated. When I saw the spoiler for this set, this card caught my attention more...
Okay, I was somewhat confused about how to play this card and thus I didn't rate it so far. But now I got some clarity from the metagame site, so I can finally rate it! http://www.metagame.com/yugioh.aspx?tabid=33&ArticleId=4963 Okay, let's look at this lego dude. Blockman Rock EARTH level 4 1000ATK 1500DEF Effect By Tributing this face-up card, Special Summon in Defense Position a number of "Block Tokens" (Rock-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1500) equal to the number of turns this card has been face-up on your side of the field. These tokens cannot declare an attack. --------------- Okay, the confusion I had was what's the "turn" count system goes. Well, according to this dude. It counts both your turn and your...
Majestic Mech - Ohka: EOJ-EN015 (Lightning Gear - Sakuraka) Hey, been awhile since I rated a card. I don't know. I've been lazy and decided NOT to rate all those cards in SOI. Meh, sue me. Anyway, I'll rate some SOI maybe and some upcoming EOJ cards as well as time comes. Not too sure about the english term, but IMO, this is again, another good card for Skill Drain decks. First, let's look at the text. Majestic Mech - Ohka Fairy/LIGHT/level 6 2400ATK 1400DEF Effect: This card can be Summoned without sacrifice. If summon by this way, send this card to Graveyard at End Phase. So this card effect, you can normal summon without a tribute, but then it'll bust itself with it's own effect at the end Phase. So it's pretty much...
I don't know what the HECK happened to my review of this thing... so I'm gunna do it again. (maybe my title was too long) So, here it goes. the sole only new cards is that new Starter Deck 2006. Let's check it's effects. Skelengel Fairy/LIGHT/level 2 900ATK 400DEF Effect FLIP: Draw 1 card from your deck Basically, it got the same effect as Dekoichi. Then well, what's the point? Well, diversity. To counter NoC, people are running not just Dekoichi, but also Magical Merchants. And yes, Merchants are good, now with the Post April, it got some few negatives running against it. #1: 2x NoC is legal. Although NoC is considered one of the worst topdeck card ever, with the increasing flip-flop slow tempo deckplays, people are...
Magical Merchant Attrib: Insect/Effect Group: Light Level:1 Atk: 200 Def: 700 FLIP: Pick up (not draw) cards from the top of your Deck until a Spell Card or Trap Card is picked up. Add that card to your hand. Any other cards picked up are sent to the Graveyard. Obviously a card everyone overlooked. It's like a magician of faith except it's a surprise every time! It's also like sangan and witch (a card for a card) except it has to be fliped. In addition to getting a card for a card this card has huge potential in warrior and chaos decks. Getting cards in the grave is always a good thing, it gives you a wide range of options whenever you get a card that lets you take a card from the grave. The reason I said warrior deck...
i need this to cleared up 4 me i went to my friends hobby shop to show him my skill drain deck so i could get it fixed... he see's 3 fusilier's and tells me that if i summon him with out tribute he's a 1400 atkr...if skill drain is later summoned its atk is no longer halved ok its 2800... bu what i dont get is if skill drain is already on the field and then you try to summon fusilier you have to tribute summon?!?!?!?! if thats the case then its not worth putting in 3 of them maybe just 1! someone explain this to me
Welcome to another card review by DrZero. For now, I'll rate this most interesting insect card yet. Let's see it's stuff Insect Earth 4 Star 2400ATK 0 DEF Effect If this card battles a monster, your opponent draws 1 card at the end of the Damage Step. Now, you can tell, the effect is BAD! Your foe DRAWS a card, not you, your foe. This effect is so bad that it's even badder then Goblin Attack Force. Those Goblins keep switching themselves to 0DEF mode after they attack, (meaning they'll usually die next turn) but this is more insane. You destroy there monster card, but your foe draws so the overall result is no card advantage AT ALL. So what's so great about this card? it's actually the stat, not the effect. A 2400ATK...
Because of Pot of Avarice, there's all these "merchant turbo pot" and flip-flop control that's running around. (Although that's gunna stop a bit since Avarice is 1 per deck now) Anyway, since Avarice is now 1 per deck, and NoC is 2 per deck, people need more flip effects diversaty to not get all of their good flip monsters all removed from play. And one of the "prob" of Merchants is that sometimes, you put 1 way too many monsters in the graveyard that not even Avarice can save you. (Or you used up your Avarice) So comes Skelengel. Skelegel Fairy LIGHT 2 star 900ATK 400DEF Effect: FLIP: Draw 1 card from your Deck. The stats aren't that great. But who cares. People don't run Merchants and MoF for stats do they? The effect is...
I am starting to see this card more at my local tourny. I admit that we have a respectable number of experimenters there, but I hadn't really see its uses until recently. No several people are starting to main deck 2 of them. Main points 1. Stops face down sets. This effectively eliminates flip effects and stops nasty suprises. 2. As a consequence, it stops NoC and makes lv2 mystic swordsman a below-par warrior. This will likely become more important post april 1st. 3. If opponents are main decking multiple flips (magician of faith/dekoichi/morphing jar etc), multiple NoC and multiple lv2 MS then a part of their deck is relatively useless 4. Tsukiyomi and book of moon become largelly useless also 5. Drilloid and grand master...
I think I said something like, "I'll probably rate Mythical Beast Cerberus, Magical Dimension"... I lied? I don't know. I think I said maybe. For now, I'll rate another card, and then go back. Hey, it's my topic. Anyway, before I go back to the recent new releases, I'm just gunna go ahead and rate the most powerful card among the upcoming cards in the next Shadow of Infinity Pack. Yes I'm talking the most horrid, the most powerful, the ultimate, weenie 100ATK monster? Yeah, it's Yomigaeru. I think the English version, it's gunna be named Treeborn Frog. I've heard of this in some places. Who knows. But for now, I'm gunna call it Treeborn Frog, and then change it to whatever the real name is once the name is confirmed. (This is...
For now, let's review one of the most hyped cards for YGO anime fanboys, the Cyber Dragon support decks. Yes, I'm rating the Cyber Lazer Dragon and Cyber Barrier Dragon. NOTE: I got this text from dmcomet SOI-JP006 Cyber Barrier Dragon Light/Machine/6/800/2800 This card cannot be Normal Summon. This card can only be special summon by the effect of [Attack Reflector Unit]. When this card is in face-up attack mode, once per turn you can negate the attack of one of opponent's monster. Super/Ultimate Rare SOI-JP007 Cyber Laser Dragon Light/Machine/7/2400/1800 This card cannot be Normal Summon. This card can only be special summon by the effect of [Photon Generator Unit]. Once during your Main Phase, you can choose and destroy a...
Okay, let's look at the card that Dr. Crowler used against Vampy chick. (NOTE: Copied from dmcomet) SOI-JP052 Damage Condenser Trap - Normal This card can only be activate when you receive battle damages, and discard a card from your hand. Special summon a monster from your deck to the field with attack strength lower than amount of battle damages received at that point in face-up attack mode. Super/Ultimate Rare Now, you might think this is crap. For one thing, you have to discard a card from your hand. That' ALWAYS a bad thing. And I agree, but let's look at it's ability. Basicaly, when you take battle damage, you can special summon a monster in ATK position equal or less then the LP you lost. This is a pretty good effect...
