Click to Zoom Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon LIGHT, LV 12, Dragon, Fusion (Blue Eyes x3), ATK 4500, DEF 3800 Let's get this one out of the way first. The Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon is most likely the most wanted card in the English game; it has yet to be released even though it's quite old. This card has impressive ATK: 4500! This is topped only be Master of Dragon Knight and Five God Dragon, which are other unreleased fusion monsters. This card's most famous use is the combo with Cyber Stein and Megamorph - how it works goes without saying. However, Cyber End Dragon (4000 ATK, Trample) will likely take its place outside of Blue Eyes or Kaiba themed decks.
Earth/Warrior/8/2600/2000 Effect:This card cannot be Special Summoned. When this card is Normal Summoned, you can equip as many Equip Spell Cards from your Graveyard as possible to Warrior-Type monster(s) on your side of the field. No published rulings We finish this week with one of the big warriors in the game: Gilford the Legend. The fact that its a LV8 and a normal summon only, may turn you off but its effect more than makes up for it. When this card hits the field, you can equip as many equip cards from your graveyard to your warrior-type monsters as possible. It doesn't matter if the equip card isn't warrior-specific. Its an equip, its going on one of your warriors if the S/T slot is avialable. As long your...
Warrior Lady of the Wasteland Effect Monster - EARTH/Warrior 4-Star ATK: 1100, DEF: 1200 "When this card is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 EARTH Warrior-Type monster with an ATK of 1500 or less in face-up Attack Position from your Deck to your side of the field. Then shuffle your Deck." "¢ There are no published rulings for "Warrior Lady of the Wasteland". We continue Warrior support week with another of the brand new cards. Wait, don't leave yet. Trust me, she's not as bad as you might originally think. For a 4-Star monster, the stats are sub-par. EARTH/Warrior is arguably the best supported Type/Sub-Type at our disposal, though, so that helps a bunch. When destroyed in...
Blue-Eyes White Dragon Normal Monster (Dragon / LIGHT / 8 Stars / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500) This legendary dragon is a powerful engine of destruction. Virtually invincible, very few have faced this awesome creature and lived to tell the tale. One of the first and strongest of the signature monsters of the game. He has no effect, but simply is one of the strongest beatsticks you can pull out. Some may say that his usefulness has long since passed. However, there still will always be the joy of pulling out "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" on your opponent and have it wreak havok with whatever defenses they may have. Not to mention that he can trade or win cleanly almost every battle out there. Over the years, he has received a fair degree of...
Zombyra the Dark Effect Monster - DARK/Warrior ATK: 2100, DEF: 500 "This card cannot attack a player directly. Each time this card destroys 1 monster as a result of battle, decrease the ATK of this card by 200 points." Auto-linking on for rulings purposes. Today we look at a common monster now available in 3 forms. But it's not just any monster; it's a 2100 ATK beatstick. What makes Zombyra so good? DARK/Warrior, 2100 ATK. Searchable by Reinforcement of the Army, welll supported, blah blah blah. It's 2100 ATK bowls over Berserk Gorilla, but more importantly - Vampire Lord. That's why this card is so vital in the new format. Sure you lose 200 ATK each time you kill something, and you can't attack directly. But by then, Zombyra...
Spell, Equip You can only equip this card to a Warrior-Type monster. Increase the ATK of the equipped monster by 300 points. If this card is in your Graveyard during your Main Phase, by removing from play 2 Warrior-Type monsters from your Graveyard, add this card to your hand. No published rulings Sorry for lateness. Complications follow me like the plague. Today we look at an equip card that you might consider a Warriors-only version of Butterfly Dagger - Elma. Like the banned card, it gives a 300 ATK increase and has the ability to return to your hand if it hits the graveyard (in this card's case, the condition isn't as restrictive). Should your monster hit the graveyard for any reason, this thing has a chance to come back...
Getsu Fuhma (DARK/Warrior/4/1700/1200) If a monster that battles with this monster is a Fiend or Zombie-Type monster, destroy that monster at the end of the Damage Step. Rulings If "Getsu Fuhma" is destroyed by damage calculation, its effect still activates as long as it battled a monster and damage calculation was performed. If an attack is negated by "Magic Cylinder", etc., then "Getsu Fuhma"'s effect does not activate. If "Getsu Fuhma"'s ATK is large enough to destroy "Vampire Lord" by damage calculation, then "Getsu Fuhma"'s effect doesn't activate and "Vampire Lord" won't be Special Summoned, because it was destroyed by damage calculation and not by a card effect. If "Getsu Fuhma" is destroyed by...
Ready for Intercepting Trap Flip 1 face-up Warrior or Spellcaster-Type monster on the field into face-down Defense Position. Rulings: -If "Drillago" attacks directly, and your opponent activates "Ready for Intercepting" from his hand, because his/her "Makyura the Destructor" was sent to the Graveyard earlier this turn, to flip one of his face-up monsters face-down, there is no longer a condition allowing "Drillago" to attack directly, and a replay occurs. -If you activate "Ready for Intercepting" after your opponent's attack declaration to flip face-down the monster which is being attacked, a replay does not occur. Complete the attack as normal. (This must happen during the Battle Step, not the Damage Step.) -If you...
Cyber End Dragon CRV-EN036 Cyber End Dragon Fusion Monster (Machine / LIGHT / 10 Stars / ATK 4000 / DEF 2800) "Cyber Dragon" + "Cyber Dragon" + "Cyber Dragon" A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters. During battle between this card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. "¢ You can Special Summon "Cyber End Dragon" with "Cyber-Stein" or "Metamorphosis". "¢ [Re: Power Bond] The ATK bonus for "Power Bond" is not a fixed number. It is a bonus equal to the original ATK. So if the original ATK changes, so does the bonus from "Power Bond". For example, if you equip the Fusion...
- The best effect monster in the game as we know it, atleast in my opinion. - The choice to discard 1 card to destroy 1 card on your opponent's side of the field, regardless of the position of the Spell, Trap, or Monster card. 1 for 1. - Great ATK points of 2800, and great DEF points of 2600. - Can destroy most staple power houses such as Jinzo in battle. - What it can't destroy by attacking, can simply be destroyed by using the effect. - Your not limited on how many times you may use this effect during your Main Phases, we all know there is combos this monster can pull.  - Limiter Removal's best friend after clearing your opponent's field using the effect. - Great art work. Need I say more?
UFOroid Fighter Fusion Monster (Machine / LIGHT / 10 Stars / ATK ? / DEF ?) "UFOroid" + 1 Warrior-Type monster A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters. The original ATK and DEF of this card become equal to the combined original ATK of the 2 Fusion Material Monsters you used for the Fusion Summon of this card. "¢ If "UFOroid Fighter" is Special Summoned with "Cyber-Stein" or "Metamorphosis", its original ATK & DEF will be zero. "¢ If "UFOroid Fighter" is Special Summoned with "Power Bond", first apply the effect of "UFOroid Fighter" to determine its original ATK & DEF, and then apply the ATK increase of "Power Bond". "¢ If "UFOroid Fighter" is on the field, and then "Skill Drain" is...
Last day of the Post-ban "˜celebration' reviews. However, that doesn't mean I will stop reviewing. I have already Last Turn on the list (it has been reviewed on 13-12-2004. Time for a new review of it, I think). But about now: total field control, with the help of Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 and Sorcerer of Dark Magic. Two GREAT monsters, with the pain that they are both extremely difficult to get out. But when you have them out together"¦ You will rule. Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 SOD-EN008 Dragon / FIRE / Level 8 / 3000 ATK / 1800 DEF / Effect This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6". As long as this card remains face-up on...
Magician's Circle Normal Trap "You can only activate this card when a Spellcaster-Type monster declares an attack. Each player selects 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from their Deck with an ATK of 2000 or less, and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position to their side of the field." There are no published rulings for "Magician's Circle" at the current time. We close Spell Counter/Nightmare Troubadour week with what I feel to be one of the most interesting traps to come down the pike, Magician's Circle. The first thing that comes to mind is swarming. If you already have a Spellcaster on the field and attack with it, you can bring out another. Not only that, but it's a Spellcaster with 2000 ATK or less. There are currently 94...
Don Zaloog DARK/Warrior/**** When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can select and activate 1 of the following effects: - Select 1 random card from your opponent's hand and discard it to the Graveyard. - Send 2 cards from the top of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard. ATK/1400 DEF/1500 Rulings: -The battle damage caused when the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position monster is considered to come from the equipped monster, not from "Big Bang Shot". So a "Don Zaloog" equipped with "Big Bang Shot" could still make the opponent discard 1 card when attacking a face-down monster with low DEF. -If "Don Zaloog" attacks and "Dimension Wall" is used, neither player gets the effect of...
Just 2 more cards to go. *sigh* Now I know why CotD-reviewers don't review every day (no offense meant). Today: Shadow Ghoul&King of the Skull Servants. Another day with weird cards. Shadow Ghoul MRD-EN090 / DB2-EN055 Zombie / DARK / Level 5 / 1600 ATK / 1300 DEF / Effect Increase the ATK of this monster by 100 points for every monster in your Graveyard. Rulings: 1) [Re: Lost Guardian] Whenever the number of your monsters removed from play changes, re-calculate the DEF of "Lost Guardian". (Just like "Shadow Ghoul", etc.) 2) [Re: Necrovalley] "Necrovalley" will NOT negate effects that are activated when a card is sent TO the Graveyard or that activate IN the Graveyard or that count cards in the Graveyard. So it will NOT negate...
Drillroid Effect Monster (Machine / EARTH / 4 Stars / ATK 1600 / DEF 1600) If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, destroy the monster with this card's effect without applying damage calculation. "¢ "Drillroid" can use its effect to destroy face-up and face-down Defense Position monsters that it attacks. "¢ Note that "Drillroid" does not say "without flipping the monster face-up". The effect of "Drillroid" is applied after the monster is flipped face-up, but before damage calculation. If the Defense Position monster was face-down and has a Flip Effect, the Flip Effect will activate and resolve normally. "¢ The effect of "Drillroid" is a Trigger Effect that can be chained to. "¢ If "Drillroid" attacks a face-up "Sasuke...
Wave-Motion Cannon (Continuous Spell Card) Send this card on the field to the Graveyard during your Main Phase. Inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the number of your Standby Phases that have passed after this card's activation x 1000 points. Rulings Sending "Wave-Motion Cannon" to the Graveyard is a cost, so when you send it to the Graveyard, it's too late for your opponent to chain "Mystical Space Typhoon", etc., to destroy "Wave-Motion Cannon", because "Wave-Motion Cannon" is already in the Graveyard. Your opponent cannot chain "Magic Jammer", or use "Dark Paladin", etc., when you send "Wave-Motion Cannon" from the field to the Graveyard. Your opponent CAN chain "Magic Jammer" or use...
This Card Is Worth Alot!!! Imean $500-$1000 Plus It Has A Good Effect If You Have A Good Deck To Use It In. Card Of Santity I Need One!!
Steamroid Effect Monster (Machine / EARTH / 4 Stars / ATK 1800 / DEF 1800) If this card attacks your opponent's monster, increase the ATK of this card by 500 points during the Damage Step only. If this card is attacked by your opponent's monster, decrease the ATK of this card by 500 points during the Damage Step only. "¢ The effect of "Steamroid" is a Continuous Effect that cannot be chained to. Ah Steamroid, this card is both an offensive beatstick and a defensive wall. He better be in defense when they attack him if you want a wall, however. It's a rentsy card, as it varies from being a 2300 ATK beatstick to a 1300 ATK target. This card comboes very well with a Heart of Clear Water on an opposing monster, whereas it can't kill...
Light/Rock/3/200/300 FLIP: Both players roll a six-sided die once. The player with the lowest result takes Direct Damage equal to his/her opponent's result X 500 Life Points. However, if a winner's result is 6, the loser takes 6000 points of Direct Damage. If the results are the same, both players roll again. Ah, one of the more neglected members of the Jar family (other than Cobra Jar). It's Dice Jar. This card was released too soon to have some real recognition. With Dice Re-roll, LLAB, Tsukuyomi, etc. released in later sets, this card just did not get the attention it deserved. The card did have some support, however, with Book of Moon, Book of Taiyou, BBtD, and Trap of Board Eraser out in the same set, but it just wasn't...
