    last will and errata

Which would imply that it's possible to use Horn/SJ to negate it, because it's performed similar to a Normal Summon. It's an interesting thought, and i think it would be important to know. ADD: Well thinking about it, Horn maybe not, because it is an outside effect, but SJ or Royal...

    Shift

It seems as though they would be implying that the selection of the "new target" would be done at resolution.

    Shift

I've been around long enough to know that ;) ...but it does thicken the plot.

    Shift

Wow DJ, i just got this email today in response to my question on the list. The plot thickens... I have to say, i never expected this.

    last will and errata

Ok thanks, that would also mean that you could probably Horn of Heaven this summon as well. I think it's going to cause problems that way, but c'est la vie...

    Targeting

That's where the forced activation of D.D. comes into play, where D.D.'s effect is not really a manual effect. So it's a combination of the effect being forced, and not being able to really choose the participants. It's a little wierd, but that's how they want it.

    last will and errata

I have yet to see a concrete answer on that one in either direction.

    Sakuretsu Armor and position changes.

It's not concrete to me. Firstly, how can you end a Battle Phase when the monster is still attacking? I'm not going to get into Negate Attack because its really not the same thing, and it's highly logical to have to stop the attack timing first before ended the Battle Phase, making it...

    Sakuretsu Armor and position changes.

But that is not true. The negation and the damage are not dependant effects, they are independant. I have a very clear stance, Magic Cylinder's damage effect is mechanically identical to Sakuretsu Armor's destruction effect... therefore as long as the monster that declared the attack is...

    Sakuretsu Armor and position changes.

Which is exactly the case here with Sakuretsu. The destruction criterion is the same as it is with the damage criterion, and it's still carried out. Magic Cylinder "[...][1]inflict Direct Damage equal to[1] [2]the attacking monster's[2] ATK [...]" Sakuretsu Armor "[1]Destroy[1] [2]the...

    Sakuretsu Armor and position changes.

If i chain my Gravity Bind (stopping his Level 4) to my Magic Cylinder does my opponent still get hit? Yes, they do. That completely contradicts your statement. No it does not need to still be in the process of attacking, it simply needs to have declared an attack to be a legal target for...
  12. N

    last will and errata

Yes, it is now completely up to you. The only time you cannot use it, is during Damage Calculation, because it would make a complete mess.

    Targeting

Yea, with D.D. it is really a nuance here, it is partly because of the triggering and partly because you don't actually get to choose which monster's take part in the effect.
  14. N

    Sakuretsu Armor and position changes.

Whether the monster is "attacking" or not during SA's resolution is irrelevent. Technically, yes once the monster is switched into defence that monster is no longer "attacking" (unless it's TDS), much like if Gravity Bind were to be chained, but it doesn't affect SA. Sakurestu Armor...

    Targeting

Their is nothing mechanically preventing a Trigger from targeting...simple as that. Trigger simply means forced activation, that does not in any way shape or form mean that you cannot choose a target at activation. Infact Mobius is a perfect example. Simple. Kuriboh does not affect a...

    Deck Dev

The legality of the cost the checked prior to paying it in this case. A face down that is tributed is not checked "in the Graveyard" that is a bit of a misconception.
  17. N

    Deck Dev

Well it is a Graveyard Trigger. It is implied that a monster reverts back to original printed stats once placed in the Graveyard. I was trying to look for the ruling fiasco stating that Fusilier remains at 1400/1000 when placed in the Graveyard, but couldn't find it.
  18. N

    last will and errata

But it's a very important point, It IS like Sangan in that at some point you will be forced to make a choice... Last Will has mandatory timing. Choosing whether or not to Special Summon has nothing to do with timing, you didn't "miss" it you just opted not to exercise that opportunity...

    DDA versus DDWL

    Correct, they are non-targeted.
  20. N

Been thinking about complex chains, Standby Phase, and End Phase lately...

I get what you are saying, but lets also point something out, to add more clarification. Well it looks to me like as long as there is a monster present prior to activating Ectoplasmer it will and must be activated, and since it is activated after Two-Man Cell Battle resolves, Gemini Elf would...
