    Scapegoat vs. Torrential Tribute

Chill dude, my post was FYI for folk to follow up on. Sometimes it takes time for the penny to drop... I always assumed it was a special summon, and hadn't noticed the text was otherwise.

    Scapegoat vs. Torrential Tribute

Fyi This is confirmed in the lists ... follow the link: http://lists.upperdeck.com/read/messages?id=2428#2428 My son played a similar trick with TT and stray lambs the other day.

    Ectoplasmer SOD-EN043

Tributing a monster for Mass Driver is a cost - not destroying a monster through it's effect, so this does not work. Caught me out too.

Playing Spell cards from the hand

Thanks. waboku was perhaps not the best example, but combo in my fiend deck at the moment is 'Hallowed Life Barrier' with Giant Trunade + some others. Start: Mystic Tomato face up Hallowed Life Barrier face down I play the following in this order: Giant Trunade (from Hand) Chain HLB...

Playing Spell cards from the hand

All you need is a little magic I can't point you but can reply... To play a QP spell card in your opponents turn it must first be set in your turn. You can play a QP spell card from your hand during your own turn. The reference to 'like a normal trap card' just means that when your...

    Searchers on damage step

You are saying that as an effect is being used to special summon that the special summon cannot be responded to with either HoH or SJ? Is this similar for Last Will? Sounds good ;-)

    Metalsilver Armor + Traps

Reading Metalsilver Armor implies that my opponent loses the ability to make use of Trap Hole as they cannot target a monster other than the equipped monster. As Trap Hole targets the summoned monster it would be an invalid play, so they just cannot do it. Clearly the summoned monster could...

    Last Will + Torrential Tribute

Q: Is the timing of Last Wills effect similar to that of Mystic Tomato in the scenario where the monster is sent to the graveyard in the damage step. This would imply that Torrential tribute and Bottomless Trap Hole etc could not be used.

    Official Fiend Tactics Thread

Fiend Combo with fries My kiddo runs a fiend deck with a couple of twists. Goblin King face up DNA surgery setting all to Fiend type Then for a quick powerup play scapegoat. Equip GK with Opti-camouflage armor. If your opponent has a monster on the field (which they generally tend to)...

Trap Hole and ATK boosting effects

I must always read my posts * 1000 Good call - I meant Bottomless Trap Hole, but I guess the message is that the kid was right.

Trap Hole and ATK boosting effects

Something I had not thought about but which came up in a game ... A Legendary ocean is on my side of the field, along with Star Boy, so all water monsters get a boost of 700 ATK. I summoned a 1000 ATK water monster and my 6 year old trap holed it. I blinked. He insisted he was correct. I...

Swarm of Scarabs, Swarm of locusts and stealth bird

Back Flip Thanks for that... In addition if I have attacked that turn I cannot manually change position either. I searched on further and found a similar thread which was illuminating. http://www.igforums.com//threads/4051

Swarm of Scarabs, Swarm of locusts and stealth bird

Flipping Marvellous I thought the limitation on changing position was with regard to a manual change of position. This would allow the following: The card is Stealth Bird. Start Main Ph1, card in face up attack position. use the effect to flip it face down. flip summon, trigger...

    "Ultimate Offering"

Cross post I have just posted to 'Rules and Regulations' before I saw this entry about 'Ultimate Offering'. (Thread 3945I think). Copied below. So why teh Battle Phase and Controller 'ruling'? >>>> All the discussion is interesting and the 'rulings' on this card should be tracked down...

    Ultimate Offering

Another Offering All the discussion is interesting and the 'rulings' on this card should be tracked down, though note that the early Netrepâ„¢ rulings are for guidance only and have errors that have since been corrected. In reading the card the interpretation seems obvious (I welcome being...
