I'm just curious to know how what you guys think about Outstanding Dog Marron and Cockroach Knight as possibly replacements for Sinister Serpent. Personally, I think Cockroach Knight could take the place of the snake, but it comes with the cost of losing your next draw phase, to some extent. Marron has the obvious drawback that it gets shuffled back into the deck, so you can't rely on it being there the turn after you use it. So yeah, what do you guys think?

Regen only works when the opponent discards it.

at the moment. im using most of my tributes as discards, usually its followed up with a rebirth combo, but beyond that, i try and not discard.

:ninja: Obviously it can't be that great of an effect, as the board would have already been screaming the praises of this "new" Sinister Serpent BEFORE Sinister Serpent got Banned.

If indeed it is a secret replacement, then that must mean it hasnt gone through the rigorous Ruling's debate. :ninja:

Believe me, the replacement is actually very practical and it works.

Though I can see that new spell in the Spellcaster structure deck being used too...

And let's face it, nothing can really "replace" Sinister Serpent. But there are possible "substitutes."

But let's face it, Serpent is just too versatile to be replaced.
Just like Pot of Greed. Well, at least until Pot of Avarice comes out, to an extent. Let's just wait until Sinister Serpent's Lightning Vortex (ie: watered-down replacement) comes out.

(Unless it came out already and we're too naive to realize it... *coughmarronroccough*)

marron is to risky to use, i actually used it for a very long time, and trust me there are times were you hope to everything that the top card isnt that damn dog, while other times you pray it was.
