Wow ... SJC-EN003 is ... Shrink

Even if it came here, it can never be used. It is banned for life. Just like Raigeki. Shrink is good and there was a reason it was played in the TCG. Personally Shrink is flawed. It saves you life points if your opponent direct attacks, it can take out Spirit Reaper, and is a good card against Jinzo. However, the same can be said for Rush Recklessly. What are you going to do against Mobius the Frost Monarch when you do not even have a monster out? At least if you had a monster out, Rush Recklessly would make it a tad harder for them to attack you given you have a monster 1800 ATK or higher. Then again that too is one scenario out of many that could either way.

Still, bad decision Kevin Tewart. Very bad decision. You better make this up to us with some good 2006 tins or else.

When did selling a card become the point of winning SJC?

The Laptop is already a few G's (why arent people selling that), and dont tell me it isnt, because I have been there when the UDE Rep has purchased the items.

Selling the card became the point because people are idiots who think a card is worth a few thousand just because no one can get it "now". If Shrink "didnt" come out as a SJC, and came out as a TP card, would anyone still pay thousands for it?

The effect is good, but not great. If you are going to use it on your turn, its no better than Riryoku. If you use it on your opponents turn, the only thing that makes it worth more than mirror wall is the fact that it is chainable and will still get the effect unless negated, but, I guess that makes it worth 2 or 3 thousand to be able to do that for 2 years before anyone else....

Be serious. How many people will own more than one? Very few. So it's not going to see much play anywhere, with enough frequency to be considered something to worry about.

Everyone who has been waiting for this card has probably been waiting from the point of view that,

"I played it in the videogame, and it ROCKED!!"

Well, in the videogame, it was probably real easy to put in a cheat code and get 3 of them for any deck you made. OF COURSE ITS GOOD WHEN YOU DONT WORK FOR IT!!! Or, maybe you used YVD and got the OCG Cards. Again, YVD is no better than a Fantasy Sports Team. Most people arent even testing or playing real decks that they own. How many people owned a SJC Cyber-Stein, but had 3 of them in their decks before there was a hint of DB2 release?

Now, you have a primo opportunity to attend as many Shonen Jumps as you can to try to collect them. No cheat code is gonna help you here.

Shrink is just a "good card", and if people go nuts over it, then they deserve to wait for it to be released some time in the far future.

It isn't banned in the OCG, and it has been there for years (I believe since Kaiba Structure Deck 2), so I don't think it will be banned here, unless we get a different list than Japan (and that's only 1 at most, because of the World Championship)...
 
Uh Six Sense was not banned in the OCG Chillout? You really need to pay more attention to the OCG then because that is like perma banned.
 
I share skey's attitude. I'm excited in a way, but at the same time it's like "meh." Yes, being a quick-play and being able to play it in the Damage Step helps. But at the same time, we already have similar stuff (e.g. Mirror Wall, Rush Recklessly). I'd try it out, but I'm not gonna make a big fuss over it either.

Even more disgusting is the player and the Deck he used to win Shrink with. Seriously, that is exactly what is wrong with the metagame. He totally did not deserve it. None of them did.
 
it would be nice if it had been sixth sense as it's a pretty good card.
but it is very hit and miss.
sixth sense effect is this.
choose two numbers between 1 and 6. your opponent
rolls a die, and if the number rolled matches one of your chosen numbers draw that many cards.
if the number rolled does not match one of your chosen numbers
send that many cards from the deck to the graveyard.

as for shrink it has alot of ups with very few downs.
the main down side is that only halves the origional attack of
the monster and not the current attack.

That's the point of the card. If you design your deck with Sixth Sense in mind, neither effect will hurt you, since you are thinning your Deck regardless of what you roll, and with all the latest effects added recently, Inferno reckless summon in particular, how can this not be a great card to have?

But I digress, it more than likely will never come as long as it is banned in the OCG.

personally i think it's very good card.

It was a broken card. It was fantastically broken. Either scenario you make out as a bandit. You pick 5 or 6 and draw that many cards or you lose whichever cards from your Deck equal to what was rolled. Either you think your Deck for a Graveyard threat, or you think your Deck for a hand threat. Totally never coming off that ban list.

yea..i just love the unoriginality of the deck lists...bunch of CCCC decks with maybe a few monarchs splashed in...psh...makes me sad how ppl at SJC's are too afraid to try some new things...bunch of pansies...

No seriously. Look at their Deck Lists. Look at Emons. Seriously that Deck is BEYOND ______ [insert word here]. My friend was telling me he went up against someone at that SJC Columbous who was using The Turtle That Feeds on Flame and that the guy actually was in round 9. I am sorry, I simply refuse to respect any duelist with a Deck List like that. CCCC, CC, CCC, and so on are just plain stupid and is what is ruining this game. Just looking at those Top 8 lists just makes me sick to my stomache. Now we can look forward to him selling Shrink on eBay and making a godly profit. How fair is that? Also, my friend was telling people were dueling outside with Duel Disks and people were acting as the holograms.

Anyway as for the acronyms:

CC - Cookie Cutter
CCC - Cookie Cutter Chaos or Control (whichever)
CCCC - Cookie Cutter Chaos Control

really you rarely hear about people drafting in this game. Does anybody here ever drafted SOI? seriously, just sat down with 8 others and opend packs and make a deck out of what passes around?

man, that is always fun. but... It is Yu-Gi-Oh! and there is no brains behind this game anymore. that time passed now everybody lookes through a set finds the 1 card and done and say, "Next set please"

whats the deal with that? and then promos like these come out, Promos that INitially were Structure Deck Promos. Seriously.

people that see it is a meh should probably change Shrink for Graceful Charity.

IF graceful Charity was released like that, what would you have thought about Graceful Charity? would you feel the same as you do now?

what about Pot of Greed or enemy Controller? thats what i find dumb about this Prize card, it is originally a Structure Deck Card and for these companies to make more money they take out the good cards from these decks and then decide, hey lets make these guys work for it and give us more Monies.

just plain sad.
 
They should not even make cards as prizes in my opinion. They should just keep making those "Cannot be used in a duel" cards so they do not take away cards that rightfully should have come to us to begin with. This is a darn structure deck card, what the hell? This is a card everyone wanted in the TCG. Horrible Kevin, just plain horrible. Still, that is not even the worse part. The worse part is that this is going to get that person thousands (if he decides to sell it) and that is not fair. As if a laptop is not enough, sheesh. The Deck Lists are the worse offender at SJC. I honestly get sick just looking at them and seeing how insane ratios with 23/11/7 are able to always get the right cards at the right time and win with CC tactics and Decks. URGH. WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE SHRINK?

Now that sounds like fun! Get some cosplayers involved, and this could be a big draw at conventions...
