Gee, I hope i didn't scare everybody off......
Anyway, I have to go. Until tomorrow. Keep trying though. I'm going to try to log on before I go to my Tue/Thur 3 hour Greek class.

in greek mythology there was a women called helen she was the
daughter of zeus and leda and the wife of menelaus, considered
to be the most beutiful women in the world.
one day she was abducted by a man called PARIS the greek army
sailed to troy to rescue her this also started the TROJAN war.

That's the one!! Now, do we have any other Greek students out there? If you get "Carnivore" you will quickly solve:

Lion & Tiger & Bear, O' me. I may need some help.

P.S. to understand the O' me, look to EmeraldDragon, here on CoG.

P.P.S. I stopped into the Library, just so I could look in on y'all. Nothing to do with the riddle. Just didn't want you to have to wait 'till tomorrow Morning. (10 minutes left on this computer).

Blackland Fire Dragon. Catwoman.

Ah, now a tiger is a cat.

...Wait, that's not a revelation.

I had a look for "carnovire greek" on Google, and the first hit that came up was, well, you all know where Google is. There's an interesting part of that site, just above the pictures, that goes something exactly like this:
Purring in the cat involves increasing air pressure caudal to a closed glottis. When air pressure exceeds the closure pressure of the glottis, a burst of air escapes, temporarily lowering air pressure until it again builds to reach closure pressure. The process is repeated over and over again.
Sounds to me like Burst Breath.

No, not those. But.....

Now you've got the idea. Carnivore in Greek. I looked it up somewhere too and got the answer, but it was written in Greek. I said, "Well, that's not going to help them much!" LOL

In response to the P.S., the "O' me" part is an Irish reference; hence him mentioning EmeraldDragon. "Of me"... hmmm

Carnivore was also a story, greek island and such... hmm well here is what i found
"[font=arial, helvetica, san-serif]Kreophagia" [Carnivore] was published in 1992, in a collection of short stories titled Loutra [Baths] (Athens: Kedros). Tassos Kapernaros is better known as a poet and Loutra is his only foray into fiction to date. The seven pieces contained in Loutra share the same main character, the unnamed first person narrator, who is doing his military service. Although it is not clear in "Carnivore," we know from the previous story that the protagonist is stationed in a remote monastery on a small Greek island "“ an unusual place to spend the military service, even by Greek standards."

but in this story, the carnivore ( I think).. was a man.. .. so Im at a lost
what i did was google carnivore of me greek ... figured i would cover my bases .. lol... but taht is all i could come up with... so hmmmm i still dont have a guess as to what the card is though.. maybe someone else will have an idea.. here is the addy to the story... maybe someone else will make better sense of it as I am in a hurry to get to work....
http://www.arts.monash.edu.au/others/colloquy/archives/IssueSeven/Kapernaros.htm

notice:: It is not an actual link.. cut and paste it.. I hope i am not leading anyone in the wrong direction.... gots ta go.. laterz

Well, if Carnivore had a monastery, it could easily be Monk Fighter. Ah, hmm, maybe Book of Life, since this Carnivore was the story of some person's life? And Book of Life does something with Zombies, which as we all know eat people's brains, thus bringing us right back round to carnivores.

Irish... The Irish are well known for the funny accents and the rather excessive amount of alcohol consumption (topped only by any British hen night, or a British student, or any British young adult, or... okay, Britain).

ROFL...Maruno, you are hilarious! But don't pick on the Brits too much, they might want their country back! 8^).

No, not the rabit. And Pandas aren't carnivores, even in name.

Okay, Kingpinopie.....You almost have it. However, it is not Kreo--phagia (Kreas = meat) but a synonym for Kreas. What is another (older) way of saying "meat"?

Jathro....you got the O' me. "of me" That will come in handy when you figure out the carnivore part. Without it, you will have the wrong card. Again, the whole "I may need some help." will confirm you have the correct card.

You guys are sooooooo close.

Well, folks, I have to go for the weekend, but I have handed over the answer and clues to Maruno to carry on the challenge. Thank you Maruno. And good luck to all.

None of those are correct.

[size=-1]Monophagy "” feeding on a single type of food (fe a single plant species); Oligophagy "” feeding on few specific types of food (fe a single plant genus) ...

cant find anything on meat... hmmm.. except maybe beef.. and bovem, or bovum (ie.. bovine) is a more ancient way of saying it...

maybe this card needs help, cuz its a fusion... needs help to exist so to speak... hmm.. some people like frog legs.. thats meat..

D.3.S. Frog ...

O'me could mean its 3 Des Frog... meaning its basically the same name, but a slight digit change... needing help.. meaing a way to fusion it... plus it gets a 500 pt bonus for each Treeborn Frog in the grave.. that is help as well....

EDIT.. even though its not a carnivore.. im thinking that is more of a reference to get to the right card, not exactly that it IS a carnivore... please tell me if im wrong... cuz i have another guess that is still up this alley, but might be carnivorous... oh never mind..
