YGO Card Name Game

Umm... No. I know of no ruling or errata saying Mataza's two attacks must come one after another. Can you clarify?

DaGuy-
1)I'm better than the one that might double up.

2)Think Proverb.

The first one makes me want to say Graceful Charity in a supposed benefit over Pot of Greed ( the one that might double up) and charity makes it's way thru many proverbs(clue 2).

Now Atomic Firefly - deals 1000 damage when killed in battle, like Giant Germ's effect.

I'm still lost. Are we saying that Mataza is the one that doubles, or is it Giant Germ he was referring to?

Proverbs..hmmm...

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." (or something like that)
"He who laughs last, laughs best." (or something like that)
"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

Those may all be closer to just well known sayings than proverbs..lol.

Quite frankly, we don't know which monster is the one that doubles up. We just know that we've managed to figure that out.

I'm hooking onto Giant Germ as the one that doubles up, but I could be wrong. It could just as easily be Mataza.

But, I'll go ahead and throw out a guess, anyway, since I don't really have a clue.

Cyber Twin Dragon?

It's always been the case with the multi-attackers. Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning and Hayabusa Knight work the same way. The first multi attacker that got to split his attacks up was Armed Samurai - Ben Kei and they posted a ruling for him explicitly saying so. Check BLS's 11th ruling/

I disagree with the extention of BLS ruling. Asura Priest has a specific ruling to the contrary that you don't have to attack consecutively.

However, BLS and Tyrant Dragon have specific rulings that you have to attack again in a row in order to get their effect which activates upon a condition being met. i.e. for BLS- Destroys a monster due to battle.

Hayabusa Knight and Mataza the Zapper have no such limitation listed. As a matter of fact their rulings distinguish them from cards like BLS because they say - they are a continuous effect not a trigger effect, ruling 2 on Hayabusa Knight states:

"[Re: Divine Wrath] You cannot chain "Divine Wrath" to Continuous Effects such as: "Perfect Machine King", "Raging Flame Sprite" (either effect), "Jinzo", "Fire Princess", "Mad Sword Beast", "Hayabusa Knight", "Cat's Ear Tribe", "Amazoness Swords Woman", "Harpie Lady 3", "Fusilier Dragon the Dual-Mode Beast", "The Fiend Megacyber", "Blade Knight" (either effect), "Patrician of Darkness", or monsters like "Element Saurus" that gain ATK continuously."

example - even if your first attack is negated, like with Magic Cylinder, that they can still attack again in that same battle phase.

With no specific ruling on a limitation to either Hayabusa Knight or Mataza the Zapper at our disposal, we must interpret the card text the way it is printed

"This card can attack twice during the same Battle Phase. "

No limitation is given that it has to be in a row.

Again if there is a Judge's Ruling to the contrary I'll be glad to shut up.:)

Graceful Charity: No

None of these.

Right, some of those are "almost cliché."

How about Fox Fire?

Like Twin Headed Behemoth it comes back, but indefinitely.

Then there are lots of proverbs about Foxes. The one about the crow comes to mind. It hitches a ride on the Fox across the river. Or was it a snake? I don't remember but it is a fable.

Edit- I think it was a scorpion and it stings the fox and the fox is dying the scorpion is going to drown. And the fox says why did you do that and the scorpion said I couldn't help it I'm a scorpion.

Twin-Headed Wolf

Proverb two heads are better than one.

And when I asked for a hint it was for possibly you to describe the card another way. I thought that is what this game was about. If you were any more vague lol.

Lance, please avoid all the extra posting. If you have more guesses to add, editing your most recent post is a more acceptable route to go. A new post for several guesses in a row is borderline spamming.

Not a problem Jathro, I'm at work and was trying to copy and paste quickly.

A couple times I'm behind everyone else with my dial up and I was trying to keep up. Anyway not meant as spam.

Let me Think on a good clue and I post something new.
