YGO Card Name Game

Considering how disjoined the words are, maybe we're supposed to look deeper...like, it's an anagram of the card's (flavour?) text. Anyone good with word puzzles?

That definitely sounds like something from a cryptic crossword. "Sounds like" means there's a homophone in there somewhere.

Or, maybe the bad grammar refers to orcs/goblins/ogres. Second Goblin? Giant Orc? Goblin King?

Hey! I finally got one, but, have to say THANKS! to Entropy since his guesses got me thinking into that one.

Ok, here goes:

a symbol of nations is
was of Port, you geekz!
no red is seen
now sounds like a Friend's, cheese word

note, I'm on a business trip so won't be on often.

Okay...second breakdown
symbol of nations is royalty, a flag or coat of arms
was of Port, you geekz could mean was of Port-ugal meaning a female
no red is seen....not a trap card? Spell card maybe
now sounds like a "Friend's", cheese word....Joey, Phoebe, Monica, Rachel, Ross, Chandler...hmmm Cheddar, Edam, Swiss

Command Knight?

King's Knight?

All guesses incorrect but many of you are breaking the clues down well. No one currently has all the clues broken down full correctly but have parts of it right and parts of it wrong... so here's another clue to re-inforce the first:

uprighted in danger
ye old explorer spurned
colorblind, be not
frogs they are not

also, I'm back so I can repsond a little more quickly. Thanks for hanging in there.

Sand Moth?

My psychic powers are telling me that none of these will be right. But still:

Frogs they are not? So, the clue could lead to one of the frog cards, but doesn't. The clues look like they'd fit either Treeborn Frog, or D.3.S. Frog. I'll go with Cyber End Dragon and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

all answers still incorrect. here's a hint:

You all are thinking that the clues are direct clues. They are not. They point to something that is an indirect clue to the answer. For example, the frogs clue is not a card name or type of card, it's indirect, and linked to the previous clues.

Hope that helps... again, thanks for hanging in there.

Oh, that makes it easy. Although I'm sure I'm guilty of doing the same thing.

Beastking of the Swamps
King of the Swamp

neither, none, you'll have to think farther outside of box on the frog clue.

Here's some more hints, each clue set's line relates to the same clue as in the other set. There are multiple clues, to help point to a single entity which is the indirect clue.

So, that gives us:

Now I'm even more confused. Victory Dragon? Symbol of Heritage? Null and Void? Gemini Fiend?

No, and no and so on.

Entropy, you're understanding my last hint so far as grouping. Try decoding each clue. 1st, 2nd and 4th are the key ones, 3rd is after you solve 1,2,4 and then find what they're pointing to.

HorusMaster was very close on 1 and 2... no one has been close on 4 at all.

No one will be able to guess the answer without decoding the clues first.

a symbol of nations is uprighted in danger

The flag is turned upside down when the fort is under siege but royalty is secreted away as well

was of Port, you geekz! ye old explorer spurned ...Explorer refusing something, but what?

if colorblind the opposite of red is green-neither can be seen but no red is seen, colorblind be not would indicate green

now sounds like a Friend's, cheese word frogs they are not

Royal Magical Library

Ruin, Queen of Demise

No and no... Keep trying Horus, you still need to define the 2nd and 4th before the 3rd makes any sense.

So, here's the relationships:

(1+2+4) points to indirect clue

factor 3 into clue, boom. you should have the answer.

Homophones? Homophones?

SoilentG is quoted to have said:

colorblind, be not

I think the first one points to a flag...
The second, I was thinking of "Port Wine"...don't know why that came to mind (Probably need a drink after work) :)
Third...
Fourth... Friend's, maybe a homophone for "French"? And cheese in French is Fromage? I think...

No clue, just thinking. Probably on the wrong path anyway...
